Monetize your blogs like a pro blogger.

4 Quick Methods to Monetize BlogsFirst off we need to discuss what a blog is for those who do not know.

A Blog is like a online diary of thought and blogs are widely considered the New Media allowing the average person to become a source for news, opinion, and invention. Bloggers are working hard to turn ideas into workable plans to solve a wide range of social and political issues. As a result blogs and bloggers build a following of subscribers who share similar thoughts and feelings to the author.
Monetizing a blog takes time as traffic and readership increase. The methods however are as follows.

  1. Pay Per Click Advertising – Google Adsense will display ads related to the content on the blog and when a reader clicks on the advertising and is sent to the advertisers website the blogger is credited with a portion of the bid price for that click. Adsense pays when you reach $100 in earned revenue.
  2. Pay Per Post sponsoring – I am a member of SocialSpark.com and PayPerPost.com which match bloggers with advertisers looking for blog’s to review their company or products. Payment can range from $5-$50+ per post.
  3. Static Ad Placements are places on the blog that can be leased on a per month basis for a set fee. I have planned 6 spots 250px by 250px that will cost around $40 per month and will be rotated to show 3 ads randomly to each visitor.
  4. Affiliate Marketing – You can also join affiliate marketing services like JVZoo, Amazon, Ebay, and Clickbank or Linkshare and Commission Junction to find companies offering products related to your blog’s content. When readers click your unique links to these offers and make a purchase you will get paid a predetermined commission. Some of these offers will pay you a commission for as long as the customer or member is active with that company making for sizable residual income.
In addition to the blog based earnings I am currently developing a website to offer social media marketing and search engine optimization services.

My marketing methods are through professional relationship building and direct sales with online business owners via social network websites such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. In addition I utilize e-mail marketing and visitor exchange services to increase the total number of site visits and introduce new prospects to my sites.

Had I never started a blog I would have probably never learned Search Engine Optimization or Social Media Marketing, both of which can generate over 1,000 per month per corporate client and a few hundred per month per small business client. Within the next year I expect to be earning 5-6 figures from social media marketing and SEO services alone.

Blogging is a learning process and that learning should never stop.

Bloggers are the ultimate brokers of information and getting blog post ideas can be as simple as following the interest of your social media contacts, or running a simple poll of potential topics, and finding research to compile a series of informative post. Doing so will bring in plenty of new followers and ideas, and opportunities to turn small pieces of Virtual Real Estate into a virtual blogging goldmine.

Facebook Begins Bumping Older Content; Be Careful What You Post – Or Like
AUGUST 9, 2013
in INTERNET SAFETY & PRIVACY

facebook_logo_flatFacebook has adjusted its News Feed algorithm to bump posts that are more popular further up the feed while dropping content that fewer people have liked or commented on.

In a blog post announcing the change, Facebook said that a user can, on average, see almost 1,500 pieces of content on the site per visit. However, most of them are quickly buried, and content that may be relevant to a user is quickly out of sight and out of mind. Now, however, posts can rise up and stay at the top of the News Feed the more they attract likes and comments.

While this organic approach to displaying the News Feed makes sense, it could also spell trouble for people who have either posted, commented or liked controversial or offensive posts. While nothing on Facebook ever truly goes away, this new feature makes it entirely possible for content to stay afloat on top of the News Feed for a much longer time, buoyed by likes, comments and interaction.

While it’s obvious that Facebook users should be careful what they post, like, or comment on, this change drives the point home harder than ever. Don’t like anything you’d be embarrassed to see pop up later, and certainly don’t post anything offensive. You never know if it could wind up at the top of your (and your friends’) News Feeds for an uncomfortably long amount of time.

Even with these new changes, it’s still likely that you will miss posts from your favorite friends and pages. We have often encouraged our readers to use Facebook Lists to stay current and to optimize their newsfeed.

Sure, we all tweet things we don't men mean to share, but now politicians have no way to hide them. Discover tweets that your politicians shared and then deleted.
