Hi Mike, I don't know about you but I sure did miss being able to get on adland today. :( I see Amanda has already given you one recipe and just in case, here's another one that made my mouth water when I saw a picture of the finished product. Easy Raisin Bread This is an absolute hard and fast favorite at our house. So much so that I have to be careful making it because I’ll eat the whole loaf in one day! This quick and easy raisin bread recipe does not use yeast and requires no kneading. It’s perfect for a Sunday morning brunch or as a gift for new neighbours. It is delightful fresh from the oven with a bit of butter and can also be toasted. This bread is low in fat and uses whole wheat for better taste and food value. Organic ingredients are recommended where availability and cost permit. Ingredients 3 cups whole wheat flour 1/2 cup sugar 3 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon 1 cup raisins 1 egg, beaten 1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon melted butter or margarine 1 cup milk Directions Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine first 7 ingredients in a bowl. Beat egg in a small bowl until frothy and combine with milk and melted butter. Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring just enough to moisten. Scrape into a greased loaf pan and bake at 350°F for 45-60 minutes, checking center with a knife or toothpick and removing from oven when it comes out clean. Time to eat! Quote: Hi, Does anyone have a simple recipe for Raisin Bread that does not require yeast? I'm hungry. GOD BLESS YOU ~Mike~
