Hello Peter,
Until they produce a pickup truck I do not think James would be interested at all.. I for one do not like computerized vehicles and I know we are not going to get away from them much longer. So I reckon we will have to keep driving our old pickup and resort to horse-back and maybe even a buggy when gas skyrockets out of reach..LOL

Hi Evelyn,

Yesterday I posted my comments and an article about Shai Agassi an Israeli who founded Better Place in 2008. You can read it here.

His vision was and is to fill the world with one billion affordable electric cars by 2015. He partnered with Renault-Nissan and so far is working in four countries. Denmark, Australia, China and a couple of weeks ago launched in Israel (plus Northern California and Hawaii).

He's in negotiations with an additional 25 countries who will soon join the Better Place family.

Shai's concept was to have battery exchange stations placed in strategic areas around the countries in which you can exchange your battery in less then 5 minutes. You can also have electrical outlets installed in your home and business where you can recharge the battery overnight.

The system works and the cars are totally silent and have as much power as the normal gas filled cars. Below is a video that features a Better Place battery exchange station. It's fully automated and shows that with ingenuity and the ability and credentials to attract venture capital anything is possible.

Shalom,

Peter

The terms "dumb blond" and "airhead" are not usually said about men. There's too much gender-bias out there that goes unnoticed, taken for granted not to be noticed.

There's no way of seeing peoples' intelligence level by their appearance, so many people judge or are judged by appearance or personality traits, or sound of voice/accent or physical demeanor, or where they're from and those things have nothing to do with intelligence.

Miguel I am so glad you enjoyed these young fellows. They are indeed talented and speaking of talented, I just watched two hours of American Idol and again they have a great group of talented young people competing. I don't have a favorite yet but I am sure I will. Last season my two favorites ended up in 1st and 2nd place. Hope I can do as well this year with picking the winner or winners.

Hey Evelyn,

This group is great. The 9 year old banjo player is so cool and makes it look effortless to play as well as he does.

Shalom,

Peter

Sleepy Man Banjo Boys

9-Year-Old Plays Banjo on David Letterman Show - Sleepy Man Banjo Boys

Hi Evelyn and friends,

I agree with Peter. I also was amazed with these kids' performance and the way they make i
t look, particularly the banjo player, like it was the easiest thing to do.

Amanda since you enjoy Dolly and Kenny Rogers, here are a couple of their duets I think you will enjoy, and since I know you like to see the lyrics too, I've also included them. :)

Islands In The Stream
Baby when I met you
there was peace unknown
I set out to get you
with a fine tooth comb
I was soft inside
there was somethin' going on
You do something to me
that I can't explain
Hold me closer and I feel no pain
Every beat of my heart
We got somethin' goin on
Tender love is blind
It requires a dedication
All this love we feel
Needs no conversation
We ride it together, ah-ah
Makin' love with each other, ah-ah
(chorus)
Islands in the stream
That is what we are
No one in between
How can we be wrong?
Sail away with me to another world
And we rely on each other, ah-ah
From one lover to another, ah-ah
I can't live without you
if the love was gone
Everything is nothin'
if you got no one
And you did walk in tonight
slowly losing sight of the real thing
But that wont happen to us
and we got no doubt
Too deep in love and
we got no way out
and the message is clear
This could be the year
for the real thing
No more will you cry
Baby I will hurt you never
We start and end as one
in love forever
We can ride it together, ah-ah
Makin' love with each other, ah-ah
(chorus)
Sail away
Oh come sail away with me, with me
(chorus)

We Got Tonight - Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers
I know it's late I know you're weary
I know your plans don't include me
still here we are both of us lonely
longing for shelter from all that we
see why should we worry no one'll
care look at the stars so far away
we've got tonight who needs tomorrow
we've got tonight babe why don't you stay
deep in my soul I've been so lonely
all of my hopes fading away I've long for
love like everyone else does but I may
stop searching after today so there it is, girl
I've said it all now and here we are
what do you say we've got tonight
who needs tomorrow we've got tonight
babe why don't you stay I know it's
late I know you're weary I know your
plans don't include me still here we
are both of us lonely both of us lonely
we got tonight who needs tomorrow
let's make it last let's find away turn
out the light come take my hand now
we got tonight babe why don't you stay

Dolly was one of the stars whom I watched on TV then she co hosted with Kenny Rogers in another series.
She had my admiration from way back and since being on the computer have been able to watch more youtubes of her singing and in interviews about herself, read the positive uplifting things people say about her.

It's true Kathleen that most times you can't gauge a person's intelligence by their looks but then sometimes you can. One thing is certain though, most times you can gauge how much common sense they have by their appearance and their actions. Have you ever known a really intelligent person who had no common sense whatsoever? It's true "dumb blond" is usually said about women but I've also heard men called airheads too. And yes, there's still too much gender-bias and unfortunately probably always will be.
