10_1_136.gifHello again Roger,

After going over your artwork again, I am very impressed. The two that I liked the best were the nude and the girl with the Cello. Perhaps Bella would like the nude better if she were wearing Hanes. The reason that I liked these two best is because of the detail. The curvature of the spine on the nude plus the proportion of upper and lower body, and on the girl with the cello the face and the hand had remarkable detail. I was never able to get the fingers to look right. When I was discharged from the Air Force in 1968 I was in Dallas, Texas. While there, I enrolled in the Community College for Commercial Art. I attended for about three months before I had to leave and go back home to Massachusetts. I did learn quite a bit during that three months and was most interested in the art classes. The one that intriques me the most was ink painting. You began with black India ink and watered it down to get the proper shade for borders, shadows, ect. I believe that I did better in that than I did in oil and pastels. Unfortunetely, I have nothing left to show.

GOD BLESS YOU

~Mike~

Mike,

You hit it right on the head (well hand).

It was the hands on the cello girl that my tutor complimented me upon.

I am just sad that I didn't get serious years ago.
