I found this site in regard to our theory of stress causing inflammation. It would be a good read.

Very good article.

Personally I know that if I have been involved in a heated argument I frequently suffer pain in my back where I have arthritis. Stress also brings on my sciatica.

100% agree as far as I'm concerned and this is also my experience in people for whom I have given therapy.

Today's tip of the day for managing arthritis is: Make sure you indeed have arthritis. Don't assume it is just part of the aging process and something with which you have to live . Look at Tim Burke, age 20, super olympian star who almost lost his career because of pain. Once he determined the scource of his pain he addressed the issues and took action.

"Since there are approximately 100 different types of medical conditions that can affect your joints, it will be difficult to treat your condition effectively unless you know exactly what is ailing you. " **

Get a CT-scan for an official diagnosis.

We had mentioned that it is good to large ergonomically designed handles but buying new more comfortable handles may be not economically sound. Make your handles fatter by using filler and then wrap tape around the filler. That is how we made silverware easier for our handicapped students to hold.

I left a comment similar to that on Arthritis today community.

http://www.arthritistoday.org/daily-living/do-it-easier/great-tips/self-care-tips.php

Arthritis today: Get a handle on it. If a toothbrush is difficult to grip, try sliding the foam cylinder from a large sponge hair roller over the handle to make a more comfortable grip.

If you are experiencing aching joints you might like to join that community where great discussions on managing arthritis take place.

Today's tip posted on my site is:

Drink Green Tea Green Tea is an antioxidant which means it cleans out the free radicals, the cell destroying rascals. However reading this article from Purdue Univesity, one sees that only 20% of the good properties of green tea actually get into our system.

Wellshphere report based on Purdue research says add some vitamin C: lemon, grapefruit, orange.

The tip on my site, actually says "Drink Green Tea with a slice of lemon".

Visit the Purdue study for explaination as to why the Lemon gives your green tea a kick. http://news.uns.purdue.edu/x/2007b/071113FerruzziTea.html
