Russian, Syrian jets hit Aleppo, Damascus countryside
    4 hours ago

Russian and Syrian fighter jets have launched attacks in southern Aleppo province and
the Damascus countryside, causing civilian casualties in both locations.

Rebel groups, for their part, made gains south of Damascus and in the eastern Idlib province, activists said on Tuesday.

An Al Jazeera correspondent said hundreds of families were displaced from villages and towns in the southern Aleppo countryside because of heavy bombing by Syrian and Russian fighter jets.

The attacks resulted in civilian casualties and extensive damage to homes and property, the correspondent said.

The developments came amid attacks by President Bashar al-Assad's military and allied fighters on rebel sites in Burj Sabna, a village in Aleppo's southern countryside.

An Al Jazeera correspondent said one civilian was killed and several others were wounded in artillery shelling by government forces and allied fighters in Zamalka, Eastern Ghouta and the Damascus countryside, although these areas are part of a so-called de-escalation zone under the Astana agreement.

Activists said a faction of the Union of the Jabal al-Sheikh forces destroyed a government tank in Sahin Hina in western Ghouta, while clashes erupted in the area of Hajar al-Aswad.

Elsewhere, local sources said the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) group recovered several villages north of the city of Albu Kamal in the eastern suburb of Deir Az Zor, following an attack on government forces.

ISIL, also known as ISIS, is trying to regain momentum and recover some of its lost territories after suffering a string of defeats in both Syria and neighbouring Iraq.

Sham Network reported that Tahrir al-Sham, which controls large swathes of Idlib province, destroyed a government tank in an area east of Idlib city, as well as a military vehicle belonging to another rebel group.

Also on Tuesday, fighting continued in areas connecting the provinces of Idlib and Hama amid Russian attacks from the air, with activists reporting civilian casualties.

The Russian raids targeted al-Mitnaa in the southern countryside of Idlib, the activists said.

Sham Network reported shelling of Amiriya, a town in Homs countryside, and Daraa al-Balad, an area in Daraa city.

In another development, three members of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' Fatimiyoon Brigade were killed in clashes in Syria, according to a report carried by Iran's Tasnim News Agency.

The report said one of the dead fighters was buried in the Iranian city of Mashhad, while the other two would be buried in Isfahan on Thursday.

Manufacturing Dissent - The New Culture War

    antifa poster
Noam Chomsky famously talked about manufacturing consent, a propaganda tool of the elites to control people. However, another equally potent way to control people is by manufacturing dissent. This is otherwise known as 'divide and rule', a strategy usually restricted to foreign policy, but now being directed at the American people by the American elites. Neo-Nazis, Alt Right, Antifa, destruction of statues, and Americans assaulting one another are all signs of a divided nation that's in the throes of a manufactured 'culture war'. While the ruling class is laughing it up, the middle and working classes are ensnared in what I would call a Societal Autoimmune Disorder (S.A.D.). Between 2008 and now, we have been cleverly steered away from 'Occupy Wall Street' to 'Occupy One Another'.

In a united America, people would be focusing on the economy of reverse Robin Hood that has left 78% of Americans living from paycheck to paycheck; the unsustainable debt that shackles college students and the whole nation; the theft by Wall Street, banksters and the Federal Reserve Bank; the endless, maniacal wars that the military-industrial complex demands; the erosion of civil liberty and privacy; the unhealthy, fake food made from GMO and toxic chemicals; the rise in numerous chronic diseases; and the inexorable rise in healthcare costs, to name a few.

However, many Americans are oblivious to all of that and are busy fighting each other, if not physically then in their own heads and on social media. Whites against blacks, men against women, straight against gay, citizens against immigrants, Christians against Muslims, right against left and so on. There is no logical, mature discussion. Two groups meet to see who can yell louder and nastier. When the police are successful in separating the groups, the mobs content themselves with a cacophony of nonsense. When the police step away, caveman instincts arise and people beat each other up. Whatever happened to "Love Trumps Hate"?

In Syria, after a city was liberated from jihadists, a person observed, "Syria was the most secular, the most comfortable country in the Arab world. It was embarrassing if someone asked whether you were a Muslim or a Christian." This was the case before March 2011. Within a year, Sunni extremists were killing Shiite Muslims and Christians. Muslim neighbors who had been wonderful friends for generations turned against Yazidi Christians when the madness of ISIS infected their souls; churches that had been around for centuries were destroyed; and thousands of Christians were killed and 1 million were expelled from their homes.

Igniting sectarianism and turning one group against another is all too easy for the elites it seems, whether it's 500 BC or 2000 AD; whether it's a third-world country or a developed nation.

Multiculturalism is hard, but it's made infinitely more difficult when people are taught to focus on their differences, dig up old wounds, demonize entire groups of people, and embrace victimhood. Many Americans are now programmed to be acutely aware of race, gender, 'identity' etc. In addition, people are being actively encouraged to get 'triggered' by other people's opinions, words, expressions, and even emotions.

In spirituality and psychology, from Buddha to the most successful people of the 21st century, collective wisdom teaches us that if you want to be happy, you should learn to ignore other people's opinions and judgments, the things you can't change and, in general, the trivial events that occur all around you every day.

Instead, we have a new generation of social engineers who tell people to be hyper-vigilant, constantly on the lookout for every conceivable way they could possibly take offense, the wrong words, wrong phrases and wrong opinions expressed in the wrong tones.
    Antifa- clashes
The elites are also manufacturing dissent by highlighting selective statistics and assigning evil intentions to them. For example, if only 20% of computer scientists are women, we're told it must be because of sexism. We can't engineer a society that has perfect representation in all careers for all groups in the demographic. 98% of auto-mechanics are men and 94% of nurses are women. Are we going to 'fix' those too? If the radical leftists have their way, we'll be forced to. What they fail to recognize, or do recognize but studiously ignore, is that broad scale social and cultural changes, if they are even appropriate, have to occur naturally. A society is not an inanimate mathematical model on a computer that can be tweaked at will and 'rebooted'.

Similarly, every country and ethnicity has a dark history where the powerful took advantage of the relatively weaker groups. But you know what? It's still going on. Only that the elite 'social engineers' use far more sophisticated tactics today. They devalue the currency and tell you that you got a raise. They feed you poison and then bankrupt you with expensive treatments that only cure the symptoms. They destroy Syria and Libya and tell you that they are "humanitarian wars"; they pulverize the homes of 20 million people, accept 1 million as refugees, and tell you how compassionate the system is and that you must respect it. They enslave people with debt and mass media, and tell you that slavery was eradicated long time ago.

To distract us from the misery of the totalitarian system run by oligarchs - the 1% that own half the global wealth - are busy conjuring up ways to create a civil war so that we fight each other and not them.

Autoimmune disorders happen when the human immune system becomes extremely sensitive and resorts to attacking harmless things - say, pollen. In some cases, the immune system is so 'paranoid' that it starts destroying other organs in the body. The end result is that the entire body becomes 'inflamed'. And so it is with society.

The elites are inducing Societal Autoimmune Disorder (S.A.D.) in America.

Let's not succumb to this perilous disease that is ultimately self-inflicted. Let's not get manipulated into fighting one another. Take some time out, tune out mainstream media for a while, get out of your bubble, and reach out to your neighbor, colleague, family and friends. America as a nation is at a crossroads, and the next decade might very well bring unprecedented changes and challenges. The only way forward is for Americans to come together, set aside ideologies, discuss and debate issues in a logical and constructive manner, and synthesize the foundation for a prosperous future. If we don't make these efforts, the best case scenario is that Americans in 2100 may find themselves demanding the destruction of statues built in 2017. The worst case scenario... well, you probably don't want to contemplate that, although it might be very useful for you to do so.

Muslim World Leaders Declare East Jerusalem the Capital of Palestine

    December 13, 2017 at 10:43 pm

(MEE) The biggest grouping of Islamic nations put aside differences and recognized East Jerusalem as the capital of occupied Palestine, the most concrete response yet to the American move of recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

The surprise announcement came despite Saudi Arabia and its allies sending low-level officials to the heads of state Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) summit in Istanbul on Wednesday, suggesting an unwillingness to adopt a strong position.

The final communique declared “East Jerusalem as the capital of the State of Palestine” and invited “all countries to recognize the State of Palestine and East Jerusalem as its occupied capital.”

It stated it rejected and condemned “in the strongest terms the unilateral decision by the President of the United States America recognising Al-Quds [Jerusalem] as the so-called capital of Israel, the occupying power.”

It said the move was considered “null and void legally” and “an attack on the historical, legal, natural and national rights of the Palestinian people, a deliberate undermining of all peace efforts, an impetus to extremism and terrorism, and a threat to international peace and security.”

“I believe that we showed the world today that Jerusalem is not alone nor abandoned,” a triumphant Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, announced at a post-summit news conference flanked by Palestine’s president, Mahmoud Abbas, and OIC secretary general, Yousef al-Othaimeen.

“I want this display of unity over Jerusalem to be a lesson to everyone. As 1.7 billion Muslims we rejected Trump’s decision today. We will never give up on Palestine.”

“Today’s summit was a message of decisiveness towards US provocation. There is no need [for them] to continue with a mistake.”

“We repeatedly warned the United States that it was plunging the region into fire with that wrong decision.”

As the OIC released its draft statement, Palestinians clashed with Israeli police around Hebron, in the occupied West Bank. The Mista’arvim, Israeli police disguised as protesters, arrested demonstrators near the illegal settlement of Beit El, north of Ramallah.

In al-Birah, also near Ramallah, Israeli soldiers fired rubber coated bullets and tear gas at Palestinian protesters.

And in Khan Younis, in the Gaza Strip, Palestinian protesters managed to scale the border fence as they confronted Israeli soldiers.

The OIC communique did express the OIC’s continued commitment to the search for a peace based on a two-state solution.

However, speakers at the conference had said the US had lost its ability to mediate following its decision.

“The United States contradicted itself over Palestine. The US can no longer be a mediator for us. We will seek a cancellation of the US decision at the UN security council,” said Abbas.

“For me this is one of the rare Islamic summits to conclude in success,” said Abbas.

“The US can no longer mediate between Palestine and Israel. That process is over. The process can only continue with a neutral side, not a biased one.”

The OIC warned the US it would be responsible for the consequences of its decision, without expanding on what those consequences would be.

The draft communique also called Israeli actions and policies “colonial” and “racist.”

The OIC also expressed its unequivocal support for the just struggle of the Palestinians and condemned Israeli attacks on peaceful protests.

The strongly worded document also called on the UN Security Council to step in and act against US President Donald Trump’s decision.

“Today we adopted a healthy position against the US decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital,” said Othaimeen.

Depraved pedophile cop convicted of producing and accessing child porn while on duty and using department equipment

    kyle kirby
A former Florida police sergeant is facing up to 120 years in prison after he was found guilty of producing, possessing and accessing child pornography-all while he was on duty, using equipment provided by his department.

Kyle A. Kirby, 37, was charged after an investigation into his patrol car computer in October 2015 revealed images showing young children involved in sex acts. The investigation concluded that Kirby had been using the computer to "download and store child pornography" since at least December 2014. A report from News4Jax noted:
"According to court documents, FBI agents and other law enforcement officers searched Kirby's residence as the result of an online child pornography investigation. That same morning, the Live Oak police chief authorized the agents to inspect and search the computer located inside Kirby's patrol car.

A forensic examination of the patrol car computer used by Kirby revealed that it contained at least 87 thumbnail images that either depicted minor children engaged in sexually explicit conduct, including one involving a toddler, or that had titles indicative of child pornography. In addition, the Internet browser history on the computer contained search terms commonly used by individuals who search for child pornography online."
A statement from the U.S. Attorney's Office, published by the Bradenton Herlad, noted that evidence of child porn was also found on Kirby's police desktop computer, where investigators "found images of children naked or partially undressed after using a concealed camera to film unsuspecting children."

Kirby appears to have used a concealed camera, transferred the images to the computer, and then attempted to delete them. However, investigators were able to recover the pornographic images, and the statement noted that they were found in "folders named for some of his victims."

Live Oak Police Department Chief Alton Williams said in a statement that he had considered Kirby to be "a trusted friend" in the past and that this was the "most difficult situation" he has faced during his time as a police officer.
"I have been in law enforcement for 30 years, and this has been the most difficult situation I have faced. A trusted friend, officer and protector of the public betrayed all facets of the job he swore to do. I realize that mistakes happen, but this was no mistake it was a choice, a choice that has impacted not only his agency, but his trusted friends, family, and community to include all brothers and sisters of the badge. I am appreciative of the F.B.I, the U.S Attorney's Office and all others involved. Justice did prevail."
As The Free Thought Project has reported, this is not the first time a police officer was discovered with child pornography. In 2017 alone, a police sergeant was found possessing and attempting to receive child pornography in April; a school resource officer was found possessing a trove of graphic child pornography in August; and a network of police officers were found raping the cadets in their Police Explorers program and filming it to create child porn in October.

Kyle Kirby has been in custody since he was first arrested on Oct. 28, 2015. He faces a minimum of 15 years and a maximum of 120 years in prison, and his sentencing hearing has not been set.
