Hello Pat,
When you are copying and pasting, you assume that html which you copied is complete. Unfortunately this is not the case all the time. When you highlight an element in one window this doesn't mean that all html you are copying is complete. This is due to different standards used in different programs. This editor is not responsible for user producing malformed html, all it does it shows to you what it can interpret from provided html and if html has missing tags, you even won't be able to fix it.
As an example consider translation from one language to another. If I translate word from one language wrong to another, the other person will understand something different than what I'm trying to communicate. The result might be total confusion.
This is the best I can do to explain it.
Editor is meant to produce html from scratch. If you do it that way, it will always work.
In fact we have disabled some ways of copying to minimize those problems.

Bogdan, that was a good explanation and since most of us are amateurs when it comes to programming, it should help.
When I present my new art exhibits, just for example, I will do the presentation in Word even with the pictures. I then copy the enitre section and paste in the editor here. I go through it and replace the photos with links where I have them uploaded. It works well for me. I also use IE 8.
One problem I have encountered is when people trying copying from another response here instead of using quote, they copy the format also. I had this happen in Art Gallery and I tried really hard to correct it without losing the response. I did but it was still messy. The best thing to do in that case is delete the post but you don't want to upset the person posting...
This is all GREAT INFORMATION and I appreciate it. I did as you said and logged out and in several times - I found about 8 old messages and still have more!
I hope we can link to Adland's Garden of Friendship from here. I will post this forum link over there. We have some videos that are really helpful also.
Thank you Bogdan, Roger and everyone joining in!
