Arrrrrrrrrrrrrgh. I just copied "part" of an ad from a previous post for my Jerky Direct business and it all piled together. I needed new material and none of the paragraphs formed. Copy & pasting is PART OF LIFE AND BUSINESS. You can't get away with not using it. We can not type new ads all the time. I do NOT like to have one HUGE paragraph when I post "fun" poems, stories and our advertisements. It looks very unprofessional. We DID NOT encounter this mess in "old" Adland. Sometimes even posting pictures gets messed up. I often like to center the picture and it ends up on the left hand side. This is even when I create new copy. This is one of the problems I encounter on Adland now and I'm in agreement with Roger. Pat (and I'm using IE. I rarely get on Adland when I'm on Firefox)
Hello Pat,
When you are copying and pasting, you assume that html which you copied is complete. Unfortunately this is not the case all the time. When you highlight an element in one window this doesn't mean that all html you are copying is complete. This is due to different standards used in different programs. This editor is not responsible for user producing malformed html, all it does it shows to you what it can interpret from provided html and if html has missing tags, you even won't be able to fix it.
As an example consider translation from one language to another. If I translate word from one language wrong to another, the other person will understand something different than what I'm trying to communicate. The result might be total confusion.
This is the best I can do to explain it.
Editor is meant to produce html from scratch. If you do it that way, it will always work. In fact we have disabled some ways of copying to minimize those problems.
