RE: POTW Feedback

I have a suggestion about this past POTW election. Usually in any contest when the winner is found ineligible or is disqualified, the win usually goes to the second place person and Steve Bonham did have an impressive number of votes. So why could he not be declared the winner and then start a new poll for the 349th??

The decision has been made to void recent voting because there were several issues with it, including one where one member was placed on the ballot who has already been declared winner this year. In addition second congratulatory thread would be ignored by some users or missed not giving the full value to a member for being selected as a winner for the week.

Dennis,

Why did I make certain statements in my post in my write-in vote? Because I was unfamiliar with all 3 eligible nominees and I studied their profiles for recent forum posts and voted on the 1 that made the most forum posts within the last 30 days. I still think whoever nominates someone should coach the nominee on promoting themself before the ballot is posted and during the week of the election. I think the person who nominates someone should give full support to their nominee before & during the election.

Hi Team and Helpers,

The graphics are great. What I'd like to see is for newer nominees to be properly advised by the person who nominated them, on how to promote themselves, especially by participating in public forums consistently, preferably with non-ad posts, nominees need to be advised on how to gain a loyal fanbase and how to WIN, from their activity in Adlandpro Community, not in Facebook, not by joining a business and letting their biz team vote on them while they don't have any activity themselves.

Also, if the Team/Helpers would hold off on their vote comments until after the poll closes, so as not to sway the vote, because the Team/Helpers have an influence on the voting.

Kathleen
Then why did you post this in the POTW forum if you feel that way?

I'm writing in for STEVE BONHAM because I was one of the votes for Linda on the first morning. I decided on Steve because he's the only one of the remaining three who replied to my communications in the last week, and also because he's made many more posts in the last 30 days than the others.

Wow this sure is alot of great reading theres so much info on this topic.
I would like to say there must be a way to know who has won without having to search it out in forums there is so many who have won multiple times thru the years that maybe you should start fresh with a feature of someone just who is a community leader or someone who makes a difference to others.

So many of the people who are nominees dont even relize they have been chosen. I think its time to start something different to feature a person. The voting forum and picking people have really created alot of demise over the years and therefore so many have left because of the negitive feedback.

I think something new should come forth on who really is a shining light to the community, no votes just pick someone each month who contributes to the community.
Just my thought
