Hi Frieda,

So nice of you to come by and express your support. Thank you. Yes, poetry for me is a part of me. Sometimes I just know that I must write....it's during those times that the writing flows effortlessly.

Thanks again for dropping by.

Hi Sara,
It's such a pleasure to see you here, & I thank you for being willing to openly be expressive about your faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.
I haven't read the book "God's Psychiatry," though it sounds like a good one. As far as religious differences and debate, the main thing is not to get into endless arguments about it. There will always be differing perspectives and I actually think it's good to see differing points of view on the same issues. There were some very good points and questions raised, & this gets one to thinking....but like you also said there isn't the time or space here to address all of the questions and differences. To me, I can never convince anyone of anything but I can bring up scriptures which may help.
Jesus himself referred back to scripture regularly and his understanding was so much deeper and broader than ours. He says his word won't return to him void but that it will accomplish what he sent it out to accomplish.
Ideally, wouldn't it be nice to be able to sit down across from each other (like with everyone who has posted here) to be able to ask questions and get clarification on specific points. That would, no doubt be a lively, challenging and informative time.
Yet, what is essential for our Christian faith is much simpler than we make it out to be. There are some hard sayings of Jesus and difficult passages to understand. Scholars for centuries have debated over what passages of scripture (whether OT or NT) mean, & I suspect that it will be this way until the LORD returns for his followers. I believe though that God has given us all that we really need to know Him to live a life of obedience and devotion to the Lord. He wants our hearts and though there are so many times when we don't fully understand, he asks us to trust him.

We are told that...
His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
2 Peter 2:3-4

....so, he has already given me everything that I need to live a godly life and to walk with him.

Thanks again Sara, your posting means a lot to me.
