The power of thought! So much can be said. Before Napoleon Hill my library (well my mom got it for me when young... hmmm long time ago ;)) held a book called "The Little Engine that Could". This little engine could simply because he thought he could... written for children the chugging engine sound is replaced with "i think i can, i think i can, i think i can..." I'm grateful to my mom for instilling in me the power of positive thinking...

With all due respect to Mr. Napoleon Hill (whom I otherwise respect greatly), the question that springs to my mind is: "Whose thought?" I can hardly agree that the starving children - and grownups - in some African countries have actually THOUGHT that they want to be poor. For most of them even the thought of rising above their station is unthinkable - not because they are unthinking animals with no desires, but due to the circumstances of their environment. It's all very well for a person who has most of Maslow's bottom couple of levels of the pyramid covered stipulate: "I will now think that I can be wealthy and achieve it", and quite another for the millions scrounging for a way to procure their daily bread. Just my opinion. Amalia

Yes they are, but as someone who has lived both ways, it is a choice of which thought you want to take. I can say, "been there, done that" and I am still here today, but not by me, but by His Spirit! Let's all forget about any thought, and why not play around of golf at my site, http://goldenfairwayfx.com/proegolf That way, all you have to think about is when to click your mouse! LOLOLOL. I tend to agree with Amalia. I am inclined to think in terms of Destiny but then again we run into the question: If it is true that God made man in his own image and likeness why would He permit both children and adults to live in "abject poverty" on the one hand and the other, he showers them with unbridled wealth? But then, again,it is written that the sins of the parents would fall on the children. However, there is another puzzle here, two children grow up in the same poverty stricken neighbourhood but one becomes a professional, the other a criminal. Yet again, two children attending the same university are both brilliant scholars but at the end of the day one goes on to greater heights the other, becomes a bum. If we are honest we would have to conclude that Life and living is a Mistery and for that reason the question "WHY" will be with us until the end of the age. Rudolph
