My name is Amalia Sotiriadou. I live in one of the most ancient cities in the world, Athens, in sunny Greece.
I was born on May 2, 1956 and I'm happily married to a Physics teacher.
I was raised and educated abroad, in Canada and the U.S., which accounts for my facility with the English language. In fact, I speak 4 languages quite well and worked for a number of years as a multi-language translator.
I graduated from the University of Delaware with a double-major in International Relations and French, I have an FLMI in Personnel Relations and I remained one course short of receiving my MFLMI. I have taken graduate courses in Management and Marketing.
Although I have been working since I was 16 and put myself through College, my first "serious" job was in a Life Insurance Company, first as Assistant Manager in their Reinsurance Dept., later as Human Resources Manager. It was a career that lasted over 11 years and was suddenly interrupted by the onset of severe Multiple Sclerosis, a disease I apparently had since I was 18 but didn't know about.
As I scrambled to pull myself together, I tried various things I could do from home, including translating, authoring 7 books (published and earned from, fortunately), and lastly, working online.
I am now almost permanently wheelchair-bound, but my computer and the Internet are my windows to the world. Despite my physical problems, my spirit is strong and my core belief is that the Universe has not finished with me. I am still needed to help, advise, succor, and show people how they can reach their ultimate best despite any and all obstacles that happen on their path.
