What do you believe the mission is there and why should we be there? I still feel we have no business being there. As it is still a "Civil War" which we have no business being there. Target strikes against the criminals charged with be-headings should be laser targeted and taken out or brought in hanged for the crimes they are guilty of if possible. Don't we have the great eye in the sky? Laser targeting capabilities too? Then all we need is great intelligence from the ground. We know these guys can be bought too. The Neo-fascists and other Oligarchs have been doing that forever too. Bin Laden was paid well for his deeds too. ;-)

PRESIDENT COWARD?

He delayed the mission to rescue James Foley and other ISIS hostages because he didn't want to be "Carterized." He sent the men in the rescue helicopters back to their bunks as he watched our people die in real time at Benghazi. And he delayed the Osama bin Laden raid for MONTHS out of fear of what a failed attempt would do to his re-election chances. In his latest FIREWALL, Bill Whittle shows how President Coward always puts his personal image ahead of the lives of American citizens.

Is this a problem for moderate muslims to condemn? If so where are they at in their condemnation of such actions? Those Religion of Peace purveyors seem to have lost their voices to these wrong thinking human beings portrayed here in this video. I understand it is happening here in America too. Why if the only peace with these folks comes through subjugation. What a shame.

Please feel free to comment and share your thoughts. Let's get the dialogue open before it becomes out of hand. Why would someone that believes they represent a "religion of peace" not speak out against the so called radicals among them if they didn't share that ideology? Let's talk here in the kitchen.

The Islamic State: Repercussions This is a must view video documentary

The Islamic State: Repercussions

Scott Pelley speaks with two men who recognized the threat of ISIS early and warned of the possible consequences of not acting

The following script is from the second part "The Islamic State" which aired on Sept. 21, 2014. The correspondent is Scott Pelley. Henry Schuster and Nicole Young, producers.

President Obama's plan hinges on arming and training moderate Syrian militias to defeat ISIS. The president has been criticized for not doing that sooner. You're about to hear from two men who saw the threat early, former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and King Abdullah II of Jordan.

Jordan is a moderate, American ally, nearly surrounded by war, with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to its west, Syria to its north and Iraq to the east.

Today we spoke to King Abdullah in New York before this month's U.N. General Assembly meeting. For hundreds of years, his family ruled the holiest shrines in Islam. And the king was nearly at a loss for words today when we asked him about the head of ISIS, who claims to lead all Muslims.

King Abdullah II: I hate to use the word "heretics," whatever the words of those types are, but to even call himself a Muslim is to me is just words that I don't want to use on this program.

Scott Pelley: You just used the word "heretic," is he an Islamic heretic?

King Abdullah II: I think to use the word "Islam" and him in the same sentence is not acceptable. That he even speaks in the name of Islam for me is just so horrendous and so shocking.

I went to the follow up on this story and it is very enlightening to the fact our President is getting very wrong evil leaning advice. At least it would seem as even CBS is on the trail. Be sure to check it out here. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/reporting-on-isis-producers-video-diaries/ and share your thoughts in this forum.

Interesting Hypothesis don't you think?

Exterminating MICE

The extremists fighting in Iraq are not a state. Referring to them as the Islamic State is incorrect. The terms IS, ISIS, and ISIL all lend too much legitimacy to this gang of marauding thugs. The French refer to them as "Daesh", a transliteration of an Arabic acronym. This term has the advantage of being disliked by the enemy, rather than chosen by the enemy. But "Daesh" does not translate well into English.

These extremists' claim to the caliphate is what defines them. The word "caliph" means literally "successor". Similar to the line of succession of popes since St. Peter, there was a succession of caliphs since Mohammed's death in 632. The caliphate was located in Baghdad until 1258. From then to 1517 it was in Egypt. Ottomans in Turkey held it until it was abolished in 1924.(1) Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi's claiming to be the new caliph is akin to a member of a fringe Christian cult declaring himself pope.

We need a term that does not aggrandize them, correctly defines them, and makes sense in English. They are Militant Islamic Caliphate Extremists. They are MICE. These MICE have infested Iraq and Syria and threaten to go further. These MICE must be exterminated before they do more damage.

War with MICE is not an option. MICE's disruption of the Middle East and attempts to attack the American homeland will continue. Refugees will flee MICE until ground troops control the areas in Iraq and Syria MICE now controls.

Unlike our Iraq War, our war with MICE is not optional.
