Re: Pong - Talk About Not Knowing Jack!

Hi! For Larry; ========================================= LOL :D Should I take the risk of letting you know my basic nature leans toward the guy with no friends? ========================================= LOL. I actually laughed out loud. It's like any crowd. There's some people at Adland that I'd never be friends with. LOL. The whole oil and water thing. Some people grate each other the wrong way. lol. We've got a great crowd here, though. For David: ========================================= How do we get the message to them? ... 4. I think there needs to be a massive membership drive for AdlandPro ========================================= I'll settle for 'great threads' these days. LOL. You made a good point that the community is only a year old. I tend to forget that. We can get the message to people by inviting them, and including a link. But maybe don't send them to the NWM or Autosurf thread first? LOL Joking aside, the Advisors generally provide content for the Digest. Perhaps I could write an article that talks about the benefits of participating in the community and how it relates to business growth. It's a pretty raw idea, so I'll think on it some more. But, I remember Bob saying he found this forum through Adland Digest... there's probably a LOT of people reading the digest that haven't discovered or ventured into the community yet. It's food for thought for me. See what happens when we talk? Thanks! : ) Linda

Hi Linda. --> Do you think people are turned off by the number of people that blast out ads? Definetly!!! My wife finally joined ALP yesterday and posted in one forum. She received 20 invites to be friends and 17 of them were spam. It look like she had joined a safelist or FFA site. --> Do you think that having 800 active members (in the forums) is normal for 22,000 members? I think this looks about normal. Many people are just looking for a place to post their ads. --> Do you think that there's a lot of people that might not be into the 'click it rich' mentality but would love to know about this forum? When I first joined I spent a few days just looking around. Finally someone invited me to a forum and everything grew from there. I was just lucky that somebody found me and took the time to invite me to be a friend. Is there a place on ALP where we can see who has joined recently? I have tried the welcome blog but either it is not updated very often or we don't have a lot of new people joining.

--> Do you think people are turned off by the number of people that blast out ads? I think that's a common theme across the internet. As soon as new people realize that it won't be tolerated they move on to the next forum and start there. --> Do you think that having 800 active members (in the forums) is normal for 22,000 members? Having 22,000 members doesn't really mean that much these days. It goes back to the mentality that you have to build a list to be successful on the internet, you know the bigger the better! The quality does not lie in the size however, it lies in the active members of that list. --> Do you think that there's a lot of people that might not be into the 'click it rich' mentality but would love to know about this forum? I think that the majority of people, when they first start looking at the internet as a viable way of making an income would love to know about a forum such as this. But it's the "click it rich" sites they come across first! --> Do you think that all the un-active people just posted a classified and don't come back? A good majority of them would fall into that category in my opinion.

Linda, ========== --> Do you think people are turned off by the number of people that blast out ads? --> Do you think that having 800 active members (in the forums) is normal for 22,000 members? --> Do you think that there's a lot of people that might not be into the 'click it rich' mentality but would love to know about this forum? --> Do you think that all the un-active people just posted a classified and don't come back? ========== 1) If you are referring to people just blurting out their ads in the midst of forums, yes, I agree. It's rude really. What do YOU think? 2) I am honestly not knowledgeable to answer this one. 3) Most definitely. 4) I think that's a safe assumption.

Hi Linda, Just a thought, some of us are still trying to figure this Adland thing out. There is lots of information and business building instruction here. The cost seems fair but the lack of skill and anticipation of results hold me back. You are correct that we do have a good group here and most of us are still on a learning curve. I've visited two other forums and found one to be exceptional, but they will not tolorate any spamming. Any hype of any kind about your business, they will call you on it. For learning, it's top of the forums, that forum is http://www.RichDad.com The other I visited and found nothing but everyone trying to sell you on joining their business. On Adland I'm looking at and have placed ads, what I need to learn is EVERYTHING about ads. The other thing I'm looking at is building an Adland Web site. This could have it's benifits in marketing products through a drop shipper, promoting an existing business that is a Mirrored site and Linking with other like minded businesses. Sorry, guess I got side tracked...again. Any Positive feed back is always welcome. I do wish there was an easier way to turn off the signature when it comes to posting. Jack Who!
