Linda Good point! It would appear that I have upset someone in two posts I have made The first one was about paypal and the moderator didnt like it much so it never got posted The second one was a misunderstanding on the readers side of things and it looks like Ive been reported to Adland. So if the forum was moderated the post would have never seen the light of day. As far as posting replies goes I dont know about anyone else, but its impossible for me to reply to every forum invitation, do some work and try to have a life away from the pc. If there is something to say then fair enough But just to post a one liner as an excuse to air a sig file is really in my view not a proper post. So far today Ive been here 2 hours getting rid of junk mail, about 500 a day in 13 email accounts. Reading stuff from adland. Ive not done any work, looked at my Direct matches mail box or taken the dog for a walk and its now Sunday lunchtime A certain person from south Africa with a radio station got the hump a bit sometimes with people not posting stuff or wanting to join him. Today there are 21768 people in Adland and just how many of them do anything with it. The same old internet story people will join free stuff all day long and do nothing about it The short answer is If you have forum its your choice to moderate or not and if there are few if any replies then its down to time or a not very interesting post or just maybe the wrong friends If whoever reported me to Adland had asked me first then I could have explained things. If on the other hand I get the boot from Adland then really whats the point of posting stuff If one cant say something without someone getting the wrong idea in an unmoderated forum then its time to go and cut the grass and forget Adland Rant over Thanks Steve

Hello Linda, I thought moderated forum post was an AdlandPro community option. Ashley

Hi Linda, If I go and analize the numbers tracking my forums I'll find the same ratio. If you go and see that there are over 20000 subscribers to Adland and there are only a few persons with a friends cirle that is around the same 10%. So that's it. Maybe there are more wachers than "do-ers" Or most people here have another ideea about this online business; they are able to manage by themselfs. This is the same whether a forum is moderated or not. I have'n yet posted non moderated forums as I think everyone have to have the liberty to say exactly what they want and think its proper. Whether they are polite or not or on the subject its up to them. This is the only way we may get realy aquinted here, without the personal "contact" There might be missunderstandings but I think they might be solved by communication in most of the cases. Whether that's not possible...than, that's it! What can we do? Nobody can be perffect for everybody. We live in a free world and that's what keep us busy :-) Wish you the best.

Yes, I feel moderated forums should be allowed. I moderate all of my forums. I do this to keep out unwanted advertisements, comments that are off topic, and negative remarks by those who feel the need to post them. (I don't like to see others' feelings hurt, and we all know that some people can be stupid.) That's what I think about that. Thanx for asking. Have an awesome day! Trina

I can't really decide. On the one hand i would say yes. Some people are just spiteful or for other reasons will post bad or untrue things which can defeat the whole purpose of the forum. On the other hand, by not letting someone post because they don't agree with you or something isn't really fair. That other person may be able to point out something important. I personally never have moderated forums. I guess I am just brave like that. lol
