Hi Linda, I would say yes to moderated forums as a general rule. I guess it is really about the admin and the forum as well as what it is about. Many forums here are no more than a chat text sesson so to moderate them would be a lot of work for nothing on the admin. While some forums should be set to no responce allowed if your just posting general info to the adlander. I think the reasons for moderated forums is to stop (drive by post) you seen them, Hi so and so great job lol,buy my stuff thanks xxxxxx. They ad nothing to the topic of the forum. Your Forum is advertising that you are alowing those that post in the forum to ad their link or links to. You should be able to moderated your forums for that reason alone. The other reason would be control what is being said in the forum. Most people here are very kind and clean in their post at least in the business post. But some things said should be deleted before seen. One other thing I feel members should do is go and clean old forums and personal messages and ads. Once something is a couple of weeks old most people that is going to visit a forum has seen it. Old new is Old news. I hope I answered the question? God Bless Johnny

Hi Linda, It think moderated or unmoderated should be the preference of the creator of the forum. As an example I have a moderated forum on Affiliate Marketing at another online community. The reason I moderated it is because sometimes when people see the title, they think it is an invitation to post their ads - and this not what is allowed. So I moderate it to keep the ads out except on designated days. Thanks for asking!

I say Ditto to Linda here. I thing people should have the choice. Let them do what they want how they want it. Thank you for asking and doing this Forum Linda. Your Friend,
