========================================== Linda, I belive you started this forum knowing exactly what you would uncover. As usual you are educating your friends and we love you for this. ========================================== I've always believed that when you take a group of people and welcome them to talk openly without fear of being bashed or criticized, some wonderful truths come out - as well as wonderful personalities and friendships. ========================================== As a "newbie", I really appreciate this forum. I'm trying to figure out what's legit and what isn't. And of course, I'm also trying to be cost effective with promoting my site. ========================================== One of the results of the work and time that I've put in here at Adland is that I've really and truly seen how many people need help and the stage they're at. (Not to mention the amount of garbage out there that I'd been oblivious to before) I have something really neat coming that you'll really enjoy. You'll like the price, too. It will be free. Just keep an eye on my forums. When it's ready, I'll put it in my sig file. In the meantime, why not invite a few friends over? Imagine how much more fun we'd have with more people joining us. lol : ) Linda

Hi Linda, This is a great set of threads you've set up here on your forum. I decided to experiment with autosurf programs back in the August time frame, did some research and started putting some seed money into several different programs in the September time frame. I have no reply or arguments against the various negative things said by several folks on your thread here, because when one asserts that the Internet is a jungle, I would say the middle of the jungle is with these type programs, including autosurf, HYIP, etc. I'm tracking my programs on my personal web site and color coding my experiences with them (Green -- Amber -- Red). So far, 12dailypro is heads and shoulders above the entire autosurf industry. I actually lost a little money on a new program that shut down (Trumpsurf), and I have had three programs that have been slow or no pay. I have several programs that the jury is out on because their terms are longer, and I won't really be able to evaluate them until my first payout comes due. However, on the two or three programs that I am into that have been consistently paying, I have made a nice profit in the last 60 days (In the hundreds of dollars). I started out with about $2,000 seeded into about a dozen programs. I had a run-in with one admin and had to pull the plug -- so I got back about $1,000 of my original investment by getting a refund through the payment processor -- overall this single incident turned into a very negative experience. It's exactly this kind of thing that teaches you best though. Of the remaining seed dollars, I have just about broke even and run into the profit zone nows by a few hundred dollars. I will say this about autosurf -- it is more or less like the stock market at the penney stock level -- one must do due diligence on research, for sure. One must take a critical view toward admins, and never throw good money after bad, with a slow paying autosurf, no matter how long it's been there or how good the admin's reputation is. AN AUTOSURF IS ONLY AS GOOD AS ITS LAST PAYOUT. For this reason I now seed with less money than before, to make sure I understand the program and the admin before committing higher dollar amounts -- ant even then I now only allow myself to run moderate amounts in one program. I read an old saying on a web site that seems to apply: "pigs get fat, but hogs get slaughtered. I think autosurf requires diversification, pulling our original principle as quickly as possible, and that way, if something goes wrong., your own money isn't at risk. Right now, my favorite programs include 12dailyrpo and autosurf.biz/eprofit.biz -- these programs have been paying consistently, and the admins are honest and communicate well. Having said this, I agree with what has been said that nothing lasts forever, so you ever have to bear that in mind and actively read the forums and admin emails, always looking for the clues. One interesting point was brought up about do you want to earn money that way? I think the jury is out on this. I'm running my experiment, selecting programs that supposedly have external income streams, and not just Ponzi dynamics at work -- but I think it will take several months for me to settle my own thoughts about everything I experience in the autosurf jungle. One thing in particular concerns me, and that is a lot of sites that claims to have external income streams are using the FOREX trading approach, and other HYIP type investments as their source of income. The FOREX concerns me in particular, because if an autosurf is doing that, I wonder how it compares to a mutual fund, viz-a-viz the SEC type regulation -- I dropped MyCashTrader for that reason -- their whole thing is autosurf and the admin does gold trading. As I recall these precious metals are treated as commodities by the SEC, so I'm going to researching this as time permits to see what the implications are. For what it's worth, Greer Trumble

Re: Auto-Surf program - Honestly :-)

Greer, Interesting post. I think your contributing or perhaps unintentially feeding into a problem. That is gambling or worse a dishonest venture. These auto-surfing programs are not an investment. In fact there is huge number of opportunities promoted in this community as an investment and they are totally misleading. All fancy talk to get someones money. Personaly, I don't understand how someone is willing to say publicly that they have made money in these programs when they know they have essentially deceived someone. I mean, where do they thing the money originates? Just because the program owner or the process handled the exchange of funds it doesn't make it okay as an honest way to earn a living. Can you say... Accomplice ? -- it is more or less like the stock market at the penney stock level -- I disagree. Yes there are many high risk stocks on the stock market. In my experience the share price is a speculative measure. In fact, Google is extremely speculative at its current price. It is trading for several hundred dollars per share. I think it is a gamble at this price but at least the company reports it's earnings publicly. If your a fundamental or value investor you would not touch it because their current cash flow and earnings per share cannot support the current price. A technical investor will study many charts and price/volume indicators and perhaps make a conscious decision to buy based on it's trend. A speculative investor will buy because he believes that Google will have some significant increase in cash flow from growth so the current price fundamental do not represent a fair market price. When you evaluate a business opportunity or investment your due diligence says that you must clearly identify the product and/or service. Ask questions about substance, intrinsic value, and so on. All I'm seeing from people promoting these program is they have gone to great length to test a system. Perhaps the program owners should just pay them directly for their efforts. In irony, maybe they are? :-)

I find it interesting that you call this gambling and dishonest when your sig file promotes a sports gambling venture.
