Hi Peter, My Mother told me "If you can't fight wear a big hat" and the other one was "Least said soonest mended" I don't have the first one but I totally agree with the second, so lets bury the hatchet here and now! Best Wishes John.

Hi Linda, I have just emailed Paypal, at aupviolations@paypal.com please see the contents below. Dear Sir/Madam, There seems to be some dispute as to what is a violation of your policies, I can't find one that relates to my site as the value charged is far less than whats available within the site after signup. I would be pleased if you could visit this forum to determine if the forum owner is correct in the assumption that all randomizers violate Paypals policy? http://community.adlandpro.com/forumShowPost.aspx?PostID=187263 Thank You John Partington.

John, Also, there is the adversiting you get as a member. That is has great value also. Really might change the name of your program to be Advertise Get Cash, Get Business Building Goodies! or something similar. How about we help and focus on what is good about John's program now.

Hi All, I for one would really like to see Pay Pal make a decision on this, I have e-mailed them myself asking for clarification on what websites would be in violation of this condition, just so that I could quote from the perverbial "horses mouth". Should you not be aware of the violation it reads as follows: PayPal considers online payment randomizers to be a type of pyramid scheme because the majority of commissions are paid for recruitment of new members, and typically operate by random placement within the program. I do believe that Online Payment Randomizers are the topic of discussion here. Now while to me, that is as clear as it could ever get, others might not fully understand the statement. Now it might still be argued that there is no violation of the terms, but sit down and hold on for this one, should anything happen that affects Pay Pal and their ability to offer their services as stated, then you, the offender agree to the following: You further understand that, if you use the PayPal service in a manner that violates the Acceptable Use Policy, including but not limited to the three categories described above, PayPal may incur substantial liability and/or suffer significant damages, including (without limitation) fines and other related expenses from its payment processors and service providers. By selling goods or services (including access to content) in contravention of the Acceptable Use Policy or the Restricted Activities section of this User Agreement (currently Section 7.2), you acknowledge liability to PayPal for any and all damages suffered by PayPal. Without limiting the foregoing, you agree to reimburse PayPal for any and all costs, expenses, and fines levied on PayPal by its payment processors and/or service providers as a result of your activities. If you have never had your own Merchant Account and you are not familiar with the policies of the credit card companies, I hope that you have very very very deep pockets and a team of Lawyers equal to E-Bays and Pay Pal. You see Pay Pal has to answer to the Credit Card companies and the policies they dictate to Pay Pal. The CC company can actually fine Pay Pal, withhold funds, and cancel their ability to take credit cards. The other option of course is to not risk it and just see these schemes for what they are and DO NOT PARTICIAPTE.

Hello One and All, Hmm. I went out to a restaurant last night with my lovely wife and some good friends. We came home, the friends departed, my wife went to bed and I sat up until 2.00am reading all the posts on the forums here at Adland AND emailing privately several members about certain issues. At 2.00am I went to bed. 7.00am this morning I log on and my email inbox has EXPLODED. Initial reaction? The words of Steve Urkel from Family Matters - "Did I do THAT?" I guess if you haven't seen the TV series that bit of humor would be lost on you. LOL! WOW! What an amazing discussion. Everybody has chipped in. Some things I have observed: 1 - It would appear that 106 people associated with this forum in some way may have been saved from having their PayPal accounts terminated. That is POSITIVE. 2 - John Partington and I exchanged several emails last night and came away on most friendly terms. That is POSITIVE. 3 - This forum has shown its high value to all the participants and lurkers. That is POSITIVE. 4 - Some emotions ran high - as they always do in these issues - but everybody now seems calm. That is POSITIVE. 5 - Betwixt and between so many great comments were made. That too was POSITIVE. Following on from 5...there are so many people who made so many good comments that I would like to acknowledge but can't because it would take me hours. One, however, from Peter struck a chord with me: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- "When I do full contact there are rules and regulations and the most important thing in full contact, is respect for your opponent; before, during, and after, win, lose or draw. I am sure that there is someone here that might be able to back me up on that one." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Indeed, Peter. That "someone" is probably me. You are aware of my background. Your words are very true. Respect is the key. As I have said elsewhere in these forums... respect is given when respect is earned. Dwell upon that and we will all grow together. Congratulations Linda. This is a fine forum and as the "Captain of the ship" you deserve all the credit. Now I am gonna delete that huge volume of Adland notifications. Gary Simpson
