Re: Fed up with GDI ...

I have the same problem with Serif. I have opted out of their program three times now. I still recieve constant emails telling me about their latest software. I still recieve post through the mail inviting me to try the next new software. So i contacted them and asked why this is happening? They replied with that same old excuse used these days. " sorry it's our computor system..it generates mailings and it takes a while for you to be taken out of the system"!! I reminded them of two things here..firstly computors are progammed by humans! secondly that three months down the line seems an awful long time for me to get out of the system! arrrrrghhhhhhh!!! Sorry about that. But doesn't it make you mad? Thanks for allowing me to share this with you Kenneth. i know the feeling very well!

Here's the thing... A member of GDI enters your name into a form that sends out invitations, so you get one. Then when you watch the video, you get another one to follow up on what you thought of the video. If you don't click the link to watch the video, the autoresponder asks you why? This is actually a very smart marketing strategy. It teaches them a lot about their marketing campaigns, and how to improve on them. Click on the link and watch the video. Personally, I think GDI is pretty awesome. They are the perfect solution for everyone, especially those who are new to site building and domain ownership. It also has a pretty nice price tag too. I sell hosting, and I can't offer what they do for that price. Perhaps more than one person has been trying to show you GDI. I know that when someone opts out of my invitation list, I am notified, and the system won't send to that email address anymore. Perhaps their autoresponder is having a problem. Have you tried contacting someone from GDI about this issue? I bet they'd appreciate a message about it. In case you're interested, this is what I chose to do with my GDI site... http://www.trinaschiller.ws It took me hours, rather than days, to build this site. Gotta love time savers. ;) Take care, Trina

I signed up with GDI to have my own website to advertise my business. I don't know yet of the problems you have listed. I will keep an eye out for that in the future. Thank you, Angela Boyd

Hi Kenneth, You are right that is not a good way of doing business. Yes if you opt-out that should be it. If they can't get the message clear then they should get a different way of following up with people. I had the same thing happen to me with an ad company and I kept getting 10 e-mails a day after I opt-out. I then had to call the company to get me off the list. Good luck Steve Wade Never seen a business like this. Pays 12% daily http://www.12dailypro.com/?ref=48160
