Re: God Bless America - What would the world be like without the U.S.A.?

Hello John, Thanks for placing this forum and acknowledging our most precious gift, "freedom". I am so thankful to live in this great country of the United States of America and also for the sacrifices of those brave Americans who signed the Declaration of Independence. The Declaration of Independence was the catalyst of the freedom that so many of us enjoy today. So when celebrating the 4th of July Tuesday lets all say a silent prayer and give thanks to the 56 men who paid the ultimate price for our freedom today. They paid with their lives, families and fortunes. We must always remember that freedom is never free, but must secured and maintained at no matter what cost!

Great, great message Dave. Couldn't have said it better. I have had many friends from Canada and I have really appreciated their friendships. I do not believe that Canada would ever back out on the U.S. when its help was needed and I know that there were Canadian Units at Normandy during the Second World War. God Bless you and this great message. Sincerely, Dave Brown Atlanta, Georgia

Hi Dave, Thank you for this timely forum! I totally agree with you. America is being dragged through the mud by many... forgetting or ignoring the larger picture. War is not a pretty, but sometimes necessary. As you say to keep dictators and despots (and in a couple cases lunatics)from stealing freedom and destroying countless lives. I am thankful also for Canada and their friendship, and for all the countries that are behind America in these troubled times. We are doing what needs to be done in Iraq. I am thankful for Bush's leadership. How many Presidents have had to deal with all that has happened during his term in office? I am thankful for his courage and his faith. Right now North Korea is pointing a missle in our direction and Iran will do the same when it can... are we just going to stand by and let it happen? I don't think so. Let us pray for wisdom for our leaders. Thank you again Dave for this forum! God Bless America! Happy Birthday America! God Bless, Leonard

Hi Dave, Canada would no more back out on the US than the US would back out on Canada. It has been most interesting over the past year, when our federal politicians here in Canada have repeatedly bashed the US in a vain attempt to gain votes with the Canadian public (while secretly sending Canadian troops to join their American buddies in Iraq as part of a troop exchange program!) Anyway, the Canadian people have spoken and have given the boot to the politicians who continued to bash our great neighbours to the south. We now have a government that shows proper respect to our long time friend and ally, the United States of America. Real friends respect one another even if they don't agree on everything all the time! God bless, Dave
