Thank you. I have a blog but have not worked at or on it. I need help with this.

Wayne gave me excellent advice and it worked, and my blog - www.associatesintraining.com/Normspot now works (or so I am told!) I am also looking at others such as Bizzyblogs, so haven't yet totally settled on a site. From one novice to another, this is my understanding of it all. Many sites offer blog templates to paid subscribers - at the moment I am using Lycos Tripod which I use for my main hosting service. It is pretty straightforward apart from a little techno-speak. There are still some things I don't understand though - for example how to clear out the giant picture of myself on the profile page - and how one goes about promoting a blog. Logically of course these forums are the ideal place but I am sure that most posters here have a lot of participation in these and other things to do. Still as a bit of fun - why not blog? As they say.

Hi Norman: Glad to hear some of those things worked out for you. Just wanted to mention that bizzyblogz offers a number of template choices without getting into the paid versions. As for promoting your blog. adland has a link to a blog and ping tutorial created by an Adland member, Bill Dugan. I could give you an exact link where to find it but think it is more helpful to suggest doing a search right in Adlandpro forums itself. (that way viewers become more aware of Adlands search benefits and you can search for any other topic that is of interest as well) Just click on the word "Forums" at top right hand corner of your screen. (about 3 lines from top) Then a little forum search box pops us. Type in the 3 search words -- blog and ping -- Look for several entries about blog and ping by Bill Dugan. Those postings will lead you to his blog and ping tutorial. Some rather helpful stuff there about promoting blogs by using the ping method. You may have to adapt some of the steps to the particular blog hosting service you use. Hope this helps! Wayne

Hi Norm: Noticed one other little thing about your Dec 4th posting. The address to your blog (in second line of your message) starting with www did not display as a clickable link with blue color. I believe that if you had included the http:// at the beginning of this link, then the Adlandpro forum system would have automatically made it a clickable link (with blue color) Happy blogging. Thanks again, Wayne. I am using the blog site offered through Tripod, who are my website hosts, but confess there are a couple of things that are not clear with them. I will check out Bizzyblogs today - I am already regsitered with them but haven't yet seriously looked at it. Your help and advice as ever is much appreciated. Regards, Norm
