I don't think that there's a whole lot that can be added to what has been said already. Perhaps some explanation can be put in place to explain the breakdown of the monies and where they are going? It would also be nice to see information on your licensing to do this. Where is this charity registered etc.... A lot of the basics need to be covered first.

I am just going to agree with everyone. The salesmanship's not bad Johnny. However, there's a lot of .orgs that are not legitimate organizations. Regardless of your good intentions and the foundation status, after looking at your site, I wouldn't trust that you are a legitimate organization. Why not set up a site to strictly describe your foundation and what they do to help orphans? Maybe you can create a randomizer site at a .com to raise money for setting up and improving your .org efforts..? I would keep the needy children from the income opportunity entirely though. Not that I'm a holy monk or anything, but there's too many ethics boundaries crossed there. It seems pretty low-down even though the intentions might be totally legitimate and good. Just my 2 cents. Hi Jack; ========== I will pass on an opinion but I must say Linda you gave a very good response. ========== Thank you. ========== I don't mean to be disrespectful but some level of screening or judgement call could perhaps be made before we seek some feedback from the forum. My apologies if this posting is not in the appropriate forum. ========== First of all, you're in the right forum! And, it's not disrespectful at all. This is actually the kind of conversation I want to stimulate here, so thank you for starting it. :) As an advisor, yes, I could have made a judgement call and *not* asked for feedback from the forum. I could have politely explained all of the things (in my review) privately and not brought it here at all. In doing so, though, it would not have allowed other people to express their thoughts, but would have been my voice alone. And I do believe that in some cases, we learn better from many voices saying the same thing in unison. All the voices who spoke up to agree lent strength to my voice. Made it a louder message. : ) Linda

Hello Linda, I know what you posted in this forum - and it's all about helping Johnny. But I can't help thanking you, because I find myself learning a lot from your review. I did look at Johnny's site. For someone who says that he's no expert at web design, I do commend the "clean, uncluttered" look of the site. It loaded fast on broadband, and relatively quickly on 28k dial-up. The site does get the message across. But it's a delicate balancing act in appealing to the motivation to help and the the desire to profit. Also, some typographical errors could just be corrected e.g. - sliver to silver. But overall, it's ok. Hope that helps. Cheers! Ricardo

I so honestly do not mean to be rude, but how exactly does one go about making money while raising money for charity? I don't comprehend the concept? Is this a site to raise money for charity or a business opp?
