A rather welcome cry of hopefully not too long gone times!

(With maybe a little help from France of before their pervert socialist revolution!)

Enjoy.

Hello Friends,

When I read the below article I had to decide whether to post it here or in the joke thread. I decided on this thread since it is about the president and he is a joke ........ a pathetic one but still a joke. So I covered the joke and the president thread at the same time. :)

I never liked Oprah and after she came out in support of B Hussein I liked her even less but it seems that she's totally losing her grip on reality. She thinks we have to respect poor B Hussein cos he's on a learning curve. Now if that's not a joke I don't know what is. In addition she also made a royal fool out of herself.

Oh yeah, her ratings are way down and that's good news. :)

Shalom,

Peter

Oprah demands R-E-S-P-E-C-T -- for Obama

Ed Lasky

Oprah Winfrey doesn't like those mean critics of President Obama. (I do not remember her addressing critics of President George W. Bush the same way.) According to Politico:
Oprah called on President Obama's critics on Friday to "show some level of respect."

"I feel that everybody has a learning curve, and I feel that the reason why I was willing to step out for him was because I believed in his integrity and I believed in his heart," the influential TV host said on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" in Chicago.

Of the negative mood of the country, Oprah added, "I think everybody complaining ought to try it for once."

She said the presidency is a position that "holds a sense of authority and governance over us all," and that "even if you're not in support of his policies, there needs to be a certain level of respect."
A president who needs a learning curve! Can you believe she said that? He should be respected because he needs a learning curve! America in economic turmoil, Iran developing nuclear weapons, Russia on the offensive, Egypt falling into the clutches of Islamists -- and Obama needs a learning curve.

I thought we were told to ignore his lack of experience because his superior judgment would win out. These same critics were the ones who warned of his inexperience, and now we're told to shut up. We used to refer to him as the Not Ready for Prime Time Player and Hillary said he would not be ready for the 3 AM call....

Oprah apparently agrees but wants us to overlook his lack of readiness for the job.
Thomas Lifson:

Oprah may well be worried about respect because her new cable television network isn't getting much of it. Inside TV:

Oprah Winfrey's new cable network is having some early growing pains.

After exploding out of the gate in the ratings (and on a Saturday, no less), viewership for OWN has declined significantly.

While OWN's premiere averaged 1 million primetime viewers last weekend, Sunday dropped to 822,000. Monday fell to 394,000, followed by Tuesday hitting 315,000. In the network's target of women 25-54, OWN went from an opening night rating of 0.6 to a 0.2 at the start of the week.

And it got worse the second week. The Hollywood Reporter:

For its second week, ratings for OWN fell about 20 percent among its target demo of women over 25 years old, according to the New York Post. The average audience in prime time was 310,000 people.

And worse. TV By the Numbers:

In its fifth full week of programming (1/31-2/6), OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network was down 17% vs. last week with last week among women 25-54 in total day (40,000 vs. 48,000), and down 34% among women 25-54 in primetime (54,000 vs. 82,000).

OWN is now well below last year's women 25-54 averages for Discovery Health . OWN replaced Discovery Health which averaged 51,000 W25-54 Total Day, and 84,000 W25-54 in Prime Time during 2010.

Both Oprah and Obama are failing. Hard to respect failure.

Hello Peter,

I too have not cared for Oprah and much less after she endorsed Obama. It's a joke that she thinks we should give Obama a chance because he's on a learning curve. She wouldn't say the same for Sarah Palin because she's not a liberal like her.

Here is an article I got today from the Canada Free Press that I found very interesting.

Hope and Change comes to Egypt, Mohamed ElBaradei

Egypt’s own Obama

As the saying goes, “Be careful what you wish for…” The change that Egyptians are seeking is a lot like the change Americans sought back in 2008, when the majority of voters wanted to put a resolute end to the administration of George W. Bush.

It’s how a little-known and untested Senator from Illinois managed to charm his way into the White House through vague promises of “hope and change.”

In their zealous ousting of the long-ruling and much-reviled strongman, Hosni Mubarak, the people of Egypt stand to make the same mistake that Americans made in 2008, except in this case, the mistake could well be fatal to any hopes or dreams of attaining the Arab world’s first spontaneous democracy.

Standing in the wings is Egypt’s own Obama, the incompetent and ineffectual Mohamed ElBaradei. Iran ran circles around ElBaradei during his tenure as Secretary General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), as did North Korea, with both countries initiating robust nuclear weapons programs that the IAEA was powerless to slow, much less stop. ElBaradei, who doesn’t actually reside in Egypt, has coyly stated that if called upon to lead Egypt, he would be happy to shoulder the burden. ElBaradei would be readily acceptable to Western leaders as a replacement for Mubarak, as they see him as a nuanced, rational and cosmopolitan leader. He would be particularly acceptable to Barak Obama in that it would give the president an opportunity to kick off his own reelection campaign by pointing out to Americans that Egypt has also opted for “hope and change.”

But ElBaradei will soon find himself a pawn of the Muslim Brotherhood, the real force behind the events culminating in Mubarak’s ouster.

As Obama took the oath of office on Jan 20, 2009, his inaugural speech contained the phrase, “To the people of poor nations, we pledge to work alongside you to make your farms flourish and let clean waters flow; to nourish starved bodies and feed hungry minds.” It’s a promise that hasn’t been kept, which in fact became the catalyst for Egypt’s revolution, as its economy slowly slipped off life support and its people were hard-pressed to feed themselves.

And in the true spirit of all community organizers’ admonition to never let a crisis go to waste, The Muslim Brotherhood quietly fomented revolutionary rhetoric and fanned the flames of civil unrest. Under Mubarak, Egypt maintained a stable border with Israel, which essentially brought relative peace to the Middle East. With Mubarak gone, we are left to wonder what will become of that relative peace.

Essam el-Erian, a senior member of the Muslim Brotherhood, claimed at a recent press conference that Muslims hold nothing against Jews; it’s Israel and Zionism they have problems with. And Western media outlets dutifully reported this as fact.

Given the voluminous admonitions by many Islamic clerics that all good Muslims have a sacred duty to kill Jews wherever they might be found, there is a real chance that this peace will not hold, particularly in a country that believes sharks swimming in the Red Sea are agents of the Mossad and Israel has flooded the streets of Cairo with prostitutes infected with AIDS to start an epidemic.

It’s much more likely that the Egyptians are going to wind up trading a headache for a bleeding ulcer, as the Muslim Brotherhood, which is superbly organized and motivated, seizes power and imposes a strict theocracy on Egypt, much in the way the Mullahs have done in Iran. If this comes to pass, then all bets for a stable Middle East are off, as Israel will be forced to defend itself on its northern and southern borders.

This is a second Holocaust waiting to happen, thanks to a US administration that has no understanding of geopolitical forces. It’s ineptitude bordering on criminal negligence.

"One man with courage is a Majority" Thomas Jefferson

Hi Peter & Friends,

This was just shared with me by email from my Friends over at at The Patriot Action Network and I wanted to share it with all of you.

A Pastor With GUTS!

Thought you might find this interesting. This prayer was given in Kansas at the opening session of their Senate. It seems that prayer still upsets some people.. When Minister Joe Wright was asked to open the new session of the Kansas Senate, everyone was expecting the usual generalities, but this is what they heard:

Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask Your forgiveness and to seek Your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done.

We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.

We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.

We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.

We have killed our unborn and called it choice.

We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.

We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem.....

We have abused power and called it politics.

We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition.

We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression.

We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.

Search us, Oh, God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and set us free.

Amen!

The response was immediate. A number of legislators walked out during the prayer in protest. However, in just 6 short weeks, Central Christian Church, where Rev. Wright is pastor, logged more than 5,000 phone calls with only 47 of those calls responding negatively. The church is now receiving international requests for copies of this prayer from India , Africa and Korea .

Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio program, 'The Rest of the Story,'and received a larger response to this program than any other he has ever aired.

My Friends, God is still All-Powerful and He is still in control. We need but ask, and He will save us from the Evil, Heathen, Liberal, Scourge that has risen to Power not only in our Beloved United States, but throughout much of today's World.

We must Pray to Him for Deliverance, and we must stand steadfast alongside Brave men like this Pastor and others like him, who will not bow to the Insanity of Political Correctness, but instead will hold high and carry forward the Righteous Banner of our Lord into Battle against these forces of Evil.

May God Bless You My Friends,

Phil

“There may be trouble all around, but I am calling you to a place of peace. Be still and know that I am God. Come to Me, and I will give you wisdom, strength, and grace for everything you face." Psalm 46:10
