Hi Peter, another great video by Bill Whittle and maybe by coincidence and then again maybe not, I received this in an email this morning which also touches on some of the ways our everyday choices have been taken away. You know Peter, our generation has seen so many advances, thanks to some of the critical thinkers our generation has produced. When I think of all the inventions in my lifetime by those brilliant minds, it is mind boggling and too when we think of all the restrictions that have gradually been imposed on us then we realize how far we have advanced in the wrong direction on many important issues. Take a look at this video Rand Paul, the freshman senator from Kentucky and though I don't always agree with some of his political views, he certainly makes some good points here. Even though parts of it are humorous, overall it just goes to show how our government is restricting our everyday lives. Quote:

For quite a while now I've been thinking about all the changes not only in America but in the western world since I was a kid growing up in New York.
As a kid I remember the almost total understanding that Communism is the enemy of the free world and has to be fought and defeated. For those that either weren't around or forgot the cold war was just about that.
I remember when the closet communists expressed their beliefs in closed meetings with like minded people who believed that eventually they would overcome the hated free market and capitalism but not in public.
I remember when rightly or wrongly communists were ousted from Hollywood and could no longer work in the industry.
And most importantly I remember that there was a consensus that Communism was an evil form of totalitarian government that oppressed the "masses" and murdered millions who opposed their regimes.
In today's world the communists and socialists proudly proclaim their beliefs and spew their propaganda while unable to explain why they are supporting systems that persecuted, massacred millions, jailed and tortured opponents, enslaved the "masses" and failed in all countries that embraced these ideologies.
As an aside in today's Hollywood the exact opposite is happening. The communists/socialists rule and conservative artists/actors/writers find it very difficult to find employment. Therefor it's no surprise that the drivel coming out of Hollywood shows how bad America is and guess who the good guys are?
Communism and Socialism have failed in all countries that embraced it. The citizens were oppressed and had no freedom aside from what the governments allowed them. I can go on and on about the failures of these ISMS but I truly believe the majority of you all know and understand this even though you're passively standing by and allowing it to happen in your country little by little and under the B Hussein regime by leaps and bounds.
The below video with Bill Whittle in his Firewall series is from earlier in the year but shows how we have regressed and how the communists/socialists have taken over in Hollywood and throughout our political system and how it effects us and different ways to combat it.
