Not to be argumentative with Terry, but.....Jesus died on a cross. Scriptures are clear on this point.
In John 19:31 - The Jewish leaders went to Pilate to ask that the 3 who had been crucified that day have their legs broken (this would make them die sooner) so that the bodies could be taken down off the crosses before Sabbath came. What hypocrisy the Jews had.
When the soldiers came to Christ he was already dead. They didn't break his legs but to make sure he was dead one of the soldiers pierced Jesus' side & out came water and blood. The cross of Christ is an important symbol in Christianity & to say that it didn't Jesus didn't die on a cross is just not accurate.
All of the following scriptures talk about Jesus and the crucifixion. Luke 23, Mat 28, Mark 15, John 19.
The death of Christ on a cross happened...but the rest of the story is that he was resurrected from the dead & now lives to make intercession for us. He lives & for this I praise him & celebrate the Easter story.
It's a story worth repeating & I love this time of year.
Blessings & peace, because of Him.
