When I was a kid I used to have a terrible memory and my mother used to send me to buy things at the local shop. When I arrived at the shop I had often forgotten what I had to buy.

So,

I used to buy matches. They were the cheapest thing that I could think of and I couldn't ask for nothing, so, matches it was. My mother cured me by threatening to beat me if I ever bought more matches. She wouldn't have done it but I wasn't aware of that then.
