.

Who knew that angry young man?

The world to him was crazy

The world was bad

He could make changes happen

That angry young man

.

Who knew the committed family man?

Protecting what was his

Loving the responsibility

Sharing a lifestyle

That gentle caring family man

.

Who knew the work-weary man?

Energy spent on a lifetime

Money spent too

Shared his wisdom

That tired, half-fulfilled young man

.

Who knew the content old man?

No time left to make change

Accepted the role of the angry young man

Seeing the mistakes

Understanding the problems

That sun-warmed and contented old man

.

You’ll see, the day arrives when it’s too late for anger

Too late for those family plans

Much too later for future-building

Too late to mourn life’s mistakes

That time to watch others with their challenged ideals

what's wrong with you friend :))))???
I laugh and cry.

Such a deep and heart (?) rippling verses!

(if rippling is not right word, I'd be sorry, but don't know better.)

I post your poems on my fb, and never have asked you for permission.
May I post also those 2?

Love you very very much.

Wow Roger, these last two poems have profoundly impressed me, mainly the last one. You have a particular way to say things in your poetry that not only makes one think but also leaves a lasting feeling, like your poetry affects the reader and not only by its beauty. I know that is what real poetry is supposed to do, I am not saying anything new, but now that poets only seem to be interested in sounding obscure (at times even unintelligible) and not precisely beautiful but rather displeasing, it feels so good to read and savor real poetry.

Hugs and blessings,

Miguel

Hi Roger,

Thanks for letting me know. I love this Together in Spirit. Wonderful

Destined never to meet but linked in an experience

Love grew inside the mutual impossibility

Half a world apart, yet close

Never to share a native tongue, yet

The language we shared sufficed

Listening, contemplating and planning

Two lives, very different

Two hearts merging

Our joys were in common

We seemed to sing to each other our deepest thoughts

We laughed

We wept

Always looking forward

Then

All became quiet

Taken before our hands touched

Only sounds and feelings remain

My memories sing her praises

My voice, still able to sing, creates closeness like never before

Still the same distance apart

Together in spirit

LOVE IS THE ANSWER

Take Your Time

You have time to read the man´s eyes
you have time to follow the experience
If you have time to be silent
you have time to talk

We have time to fulfill our promises
we have the guts to express our opinions
He had a feeling of getting near her
in her arms he fell at last

To the times we are commited
the signs of times are here to show
The feel of a lonely wolf
was converted into civilians touch

It is time to walk, it is time to talk
learning what had to be achieved
Learning what is to come
since you came back, I have to wish

A wish of hugs, a bird´s swing around
he had time to whisper the tender
Touch of an gentleman and
talk for the moment

Not angry now, just kind for a mind
not too sweet but kisses for the world
Since you understand me now
I have to take time for you again
