Here is my latest poem.

This poem came to me today after the inspiration given to me by another.

Make of it what you will.

Roger

Another place              (c) Roger Macdivitt 2009

There is a life that once was true

A life that waits for me to renew

Where family wished me on my way

To earth to live, to work, to play

Sad parting fades, but still a memory

So faint, so true, but real to me

Why were they here and there as well?

This not a dream, but hard to tell

How was that aunt so special, here?

Though briefly there her love to share

When will recall to realms remembered

Come swift to me, life here surrendered?

Comfort comes from knowing something

Of another world with love to bring

Where waits a family, care united

To welcome home a son, requited

Myrna,

Spring arrived a few days ago. The weather has been glorious at last.

Spring sunshine is glorious and although rain is forcast here (UK) in next few days we have felt God's gifts in full this week.

I drove to Devon (2 and a half hours each way) in England to take a van load of logs to my brother in law. He bought us lunch at a wonderful country pub (Straw thatched roof etc.)

Home here again I have a bunch of daffodils in a vase. The blooms are actually over the top of the laptop and they are the most wonderfully scented ones that I have ever smelt.

Here (hopefully) is a picture of a Dorset Thatched cottage.

Roger!

I am in awe of your work here.  And yes, I apologize for being away, but I just caught up on reading through it all.  You are amazing me!!  Your poems are all wonderful/

Yes, I will be away from the workshop for a while, but not for long - I need it now more than ever as I am no longer gainfully employed and have fallen into the large group of other Americans who are also not working.  Time to set the goal and go for it!

Enjoy spring, Roger!!  I know I am - as much as possible anyway.

God Bless!

Judy
