Re: Should the Lid be Raised or Lowered and by whom?

Hello Val I knew you were quite resourceful, a true country gal after my own heart.

This is a video to serve as proof that cats I can be toilet-trained. My ex-girlfriend gets 90% of the credit though. But I handled plenty of stin... Masturbating cat! you are so mean, u trained your cat doing this. cats don't go to the toilet and do what humans do. it's against their instincts.

May Wisdom and the knowledge you gained go with you,

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the invitation to a humorous thread.
As to my opinion..I do not get all in a lather if the seat
is left up or down, both have caught me unawares.

I have sat down when the lid was left down and did not
notice because of the lighting, I have almost fallen when
I have gone to sit down on one much lower than I anticipated.  I have sat down in the bowl and got my butt
all wet in the States because the water level is higher
in the bowls that back in NZ and because the seat was
not down.

The first time I used and flushed the toilet in the hotel in
LA after I arrived I thought it was going to overflow
because the water flushed away the same but then started
to rise up to half way in the bowl which does not happen
in NZ it stays in the base.  More noise is made when you
use the toilets here because of the water level, no getting
away from it! *lol*

I have sat on a wooden seat and a plastic seat that had a crack in and caught my skin.  The wood one hurts more.

I have used just about every outhouse style there was
back in NZ  from double seats (two inside at once beside
each other!)
and some outhouses here in the States.
Porta pottys of difference sizes and shapes and smells!!
from 4 different countries.

All this aside what I do get in a lather about is 'sprinkle or
tinkle inside the bowl not on it'!
I hate some of the public toilets that are very dirty and someone before me have wet on the seat, on the floor and there is no toilet paper to wipe off.

Hi Jim (again)

Amanda,

More information please, ha ha ha ha ha!
Don't be so brief with your answers, lol, lol.

Has anyone heard of that dastardly party trick where you place a sheet of gladwrap over the toilet bowl, just under the seat? Not nice... but funny!

Hello Jim,

Quite a subject...lol....Here is a variety of poopers.....

And now my favorite camping potty!

Now for this one the lid has best be left down, but for the others you men should know and be courteous enough to put the seat down for your beloved.....

God Bless,
Gaby

*lol* John,  I guess I do happen to go into more detail
than I probably should, I seem to have become more
American each year I live here.  You know how Kiwi's
Aussies and the Poms are 'stiff upper lip' and do not
divulge much..!

Not everyone knows that the toilets here in the States
are different to the ones back in NZ and Australia!! *lol*

Yes I had heard of the Glad Wrap trick, I am so glad
that it was never pulled on me, my family or in my house.
