RE: HSIG - Is There Anything Global Warming Can't Be Blamed For?? :)

Hello All,

The following article is self explanatory and exposes the Global Warming, Climate Change in a very simple and affective manner.

Shalom,

Peter

Morning Bell

Global Warming - Is There Anything It Can't Do?

Tomorrow, NBC (which is owned by General Electric) will begin broadcasting the 2010 Winter Olympics from Vancouver, Canada. Only two events are scheduled for the opening day (alpine skiing and ski jumping), but even those events will be difficult to pull off. Why? There is no snow in Vancouver. And International Olympic Committee President Jacques Rogge knows exactly what is to blame: global warming. Rogge tells AFP: "Global warming of course is a worry, it is a worry for the entire world."

Considering that NBC/GE has already received billions in TARP bailout cash from the Obama administration and is actively lobbying for a global warming energy tax bill so that it can receive billions more in government green-energy subsidies on top of the millions it already receives, we are sure to hear lots from NBC announcers about how the lack of snow in Vancouver is just another reason Washington needs to act now to stop global warming.

But back in Washington, the global warming scare-monger crowd is singing a slightly different tune. Facing record snowfalls, Time is reporting: "Snowstorm: East Coast Blizzard Tied to Climate Change." But do not confuse this headline with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s column from two years ago claiming that global warming was causing "anemic winters" in the Washington region.

No snow, too much snow. It does not matter to the enviroleft crowd. For them, global warming always is to blame. That is the whole reason the movement made a deliberate decision earlier this decade to stop calling it "global warming" and start calling it "climate change." That way they could expand the universe of terrible things they could plausibly blame on global warming. One British citizen even maintains a comprehensive list of everything the enviroleft has tried to blame on global warming including: Atlantic ocean less salty, Atlantic ocean more salty, Earth slowing down, Earth spinning faster, fish bigger, fish shrinking, and (most importantly) beer better, beer worse.

The media are not the only ones complicit in the climate fear industry. The 2007 Nobel Prize-winning Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (which is the most prestigious scientific body charged with determining what is and is not settled science) has also been found to be cooking the books. In just the past year, the IPCC's 2007 report has been exposed for overstating the science on glacier loss in the Himalayas, crop loss in Africa, Amazon rain forest depletion and damage from weather catastrophes.

Here is what we do know: the cap-and-trade system in Europe is completely failing to reduce carbon emissions; the cap-and-trade system proposed here in the United States would do nothing to affect global temperatures, but would do trillions of dollars of damage to the U.S. economy.

Something to think about while you shovel out your driveway today.

RE: HSIG - Muslim Scholars Say Airport Scanners Violate Teachings Of Islam

Hello Friends,

I really didn't know whether to laugh or cry when I read the below article. The truth of the matter is that I saw it on 2 different sites but I had some computer issues earlier and couldn't post when I first saw it.

The Fiqh Council Of North America (FCNA) a group of Muslim scholars say they support airline safety and security but are "deeply concerned" about airport scanners that show nude images of the human body.

Wow, as if we're happy about being scanned but at the moment due to the dangers of Radical Islamic Jihadi terrorist attacks we realize the necessity of the scans with the new onslaught of bomb devices used by these terrorists.

We are all aware that not all Muslims are terrorists but 99% of all terrorists are Radical Muslims. These oh so sensitive Muslims will just have to get used to the new regulations and get scanned like every body else or simply not fly and find other means of transportation.

No one is happy about the regulations but in order to get safely from one place to another bear with the scanning and any other security measures needed.

Shalom,

Peter

Exclusive: Pity Party Time – Muslim Scholars Say Airport Body Scanners Violate Teachings of Islam

This just in:
A group of Muslim scholars says it supports airline safety, but it is "deeply concerned" about the use of airport scanners that show nude images of the human body.
“The Fiqh Council of North America (FCNA) emphasizes that a general and public use of such scanners is against the teachings of Islam, natural law and all religions and cultures that stand for decency and modesty,” the group said in a Feb. 10 statement posted at Islam Online.
"It is a violation of clear Islamic teachings that men or women be seen naked by other men and women," FCNA explained. The group noted that Islam emphasizes modesty, considering it part of the faith. "The Qur'an has commanded the believers, both men and women, to cover their private parts" and to be modest in their dress.
While exceptions can be made in cases of "extreme necessity," FCNA indicated that passenger body scans do not rise to that level.
Airport scanners that show nude images go against my sense of dignity. Does that count for something? They also go against my sense of … well, sense. And I’m not alone. Americans support “subjecting airline passengers to more intensive security checks if they fit a profile of terrorists based on age, ethnicity and gender” by a margin of 3 to 1. What point is there in subjecting Granny from Miami to the indignity of a having what’s under her bloomers exposed to the world when it’s more likely going to be Abdullah from Yemen with the explosives in his nether regions?
Plus, as Steve Chapman points out at Reason.com:
The more intractable problem is that terrorists are fiendishly capable of adaptation. If the scanners can find plastic explosives hidden in underwear – which is not guaranteed – the evildoers have another option that would foil these gadgets: hiding the bomb in a body cavity.
Exactly. Jihadists are constantly trying to improve upon their craft. If at first you don’t succeed, etc.
But if we cannot “discriminate” by “profiling” at the airport due to the ridiculous strictures of PC, then the indignity must be suffered by all. And, if the U.S. goes the same route as the UK, if you are chosen for a scan and refuse, you can’t board your flight.
More:
FCNA is asking for changes in scanner software so the machines will produce only body outlines. In the meantime, the group says Muslim travelers should choose pat-down searches over scanner images – in cases where searches are necessary.
In other words, Muslims are asking for more special privileges in the name of religion. Footbaths at the airport were not enough, it seems. Now, they expect to be exempted from a security measure that was implemented because we aren’t allowed to profile …well, Muslims.
Are there any other religions that are asking for exemptions from this security policy because being seen nude goes against their teachings? If so, I haven’t heard about it. Anyone? Bueller?
An interesting note about the Fiqh Council of North America from Jihad Watch:
The Fiqh Council of North America (FCNA) is affiliated with ISNA, which is a Muslim Brotherhood group. The Brotherhood is dedicated in its own words to "eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within."
The Investigative Project also notes that a number of FCNA members have terrorism and extremism ties.
Will this become yet another “civil rights” issue for Muslims? As far as I can tell, air travel itself is not a right for anyone, unless that’s somehow been added to the Constitution while I wasn’t looking. And until our government gets a modicum of a clue when it comes to jihad and how to effectively combat it, then anyone choosing to travel by plane must be willing to sacrifice dignity for whatever safety it affords.

Who cares?! If these Islamic scholars are insulted and inconvenienced? NOT ME! It is time to stop coddling these babies.

We, the general public are tired of the crap caused by a few Radical Islamists. But, wait! They all follow the Qu'ran and the Sunna so they are for the radicals. Hey case solved. The solution is to inconvenience them all equally and leave the rest of us alone.

and I agree. The solution is PROFILING even if it's considered to be politically incorrect. PC will eventually be the downfall of us all if we don't wake up in time.

RE: HSIG - Moderate Muslims Targeted By Radical Islamists World Wide
2/14/2010 7:43:08 PM
Hello Friends,

Believe it or not Radical Islam is a threat not only to infidels and non believers but to moderate Muslims world wide as well.

There are Muslims that believe in integrating into the societies they live in and becoming part of the culture of their countries. The few who are willing to speak out are under constant attack by their Radical Islamic counterparts and many live under the threat of fatwahs ordering their death.

One of the best known in the United States is Dr. Zhudi Jasser the producer of Obsession and his latest release The Third Jihad. Dr. Jasser is ostracized by the Muslim community where he lives and many Mosques don't allow him entry. He is constantly being attacked by the different Muslim Organizations that are funded by the Saudis and are supporters of Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood.

Below you'll read about some European Muslims that are in worse situations then he is and many are in fear for their lives.

Radical Islam is a danger to the Western world and their goal for world domination is becoming a fact of life for many European countries today and is only getting worse. The US is not far behind with the radical Muslim agenda B Hussein has and is doing his utmost torealize them as soon as possible.

Shalom,

Peter

Muslims Confront Islamism, Get Targeted by Islamists

by David J. Rusin • Feb 14, 2010 at 12:03 pm

http://www.islamist-watch.org/blog/2010/02/muslims-confront-islamism-get-targeted-by

French imam Hassen Chalghoumi recently learned firsthand that Islamists despise non-Islamist Muslims as much as they do anyone else. Chalghoumi attracted their ire by coming out strongly in favor of a ban on face-covering veils, a prohibition that is moving closer to reality. Echoing President Nicolas Sarkozy, he described the niqab as a "prison for women, a tool of sexist domination and Islamist indoctrination" that "has no place in France." Moreover, he explained:

Having French nationality means wanting to take part in society, at school, at work. But with a bit of cloth over their faces, what can these women share with us? If they want to wear the veil, they can go to a country where it's the tradition, like Saudi Arabia.

Islamist reaction to his comments was swift and fierce, with a gang of nearly a hundred men storming his Paris mosque during a meeting of an organization focused on interfaith relations:

"They started to cry 'Allah akbar' and 'God is great,'" recounted Chalghoumi. "Then they insulted me, my mosque, the Jewish community, and the [French] republic. They left after an hour and a half."

According to a member of the Conference of Imams, the mob condemned Chalghoumi as an apostate and threatened him with "liquidation, this imam of the Jews."

Chalghoumi is not the only moderate risking "liquidation." Abadirh Abdi Hussein, a Muslim rapper in Sweden, had his head slashed by attackers displeased with his outspoken opposition to al-Shabaab, which has been recruiting young men to join the jihad in Somalia. And, as IW noted in January, Majed Moughni received a death threat after organizing a demonstration by Detroit-area Muslims to denounce the attempted Christmas Day airplane bombing.

Undeterred by this atmosphere of intimidation, many other Muslims have gone on offense against radicalism in recent months. Among them:

  • The Muslim Canadian Congress called on lawmakers to ban the niqab, declaring it a "political issue promoted by extremists" that "has absolutely no place in Canada."
  • Minhaj-ul-Quran, a Sufi Muslim organization operating in the UK, issued a fatwa against suicide bombings, labeling them "totally un-Islamic" and "violations of human rights."

As the above examples suggest, at the core of the resurgent jihad is a conflict between an authoritarian interpretation of Islam and a more spiritual, secular interpretation. The fate of two worlds — the Western and the Islamic — will be shaped profoundly by the outcome.
