Hello Georgios,

It seems that you are back, right on time for the U.S. elections. Very weird elections if any, but then do we not deserve the governments we have?

Whichever outcome, there is no possible betterment in sight, the system is too far gone and if one needs proof it is easy to understand that even the American constitution is being treaded upon simply by having a running candidate outlawed. The gentleman was born in Kenya by a mother of 18 years old (If she had been 19 or more, then he could prevail to his farther being a US citizen) Trouble is the “farther” was already married. huhu!

If Zwartzeneger (Spell-check) could not present himself for these very reasons, why is Osama (Oups! sorry Obama) having a free ride?

I had always thought that Democracy was run by the people. So why are those very people who believe so strongly in Democracy hoping that change will come from the top? Just a thought.

Friendly yours,

Robert.

Hello Andrew!

Welcome to Philoxenia and to our political discussion. It is I read both your inputs and I fully agree with you. The next president cant do much to change the damage that already is done. It is also true that who ever wins not much will change. As for USA I believe your country should have a better support to all those people who are in social group 3. More and more people live under the existence minimum. I mean more social rights and more support to those in need.

I am following lots of discussions in different forums and communities and I call also tell our friends that there are many crazy things written.

I see also much discrimination and that is not good. In the age of 2008 instead of discussion how to give solutions to global problems we discuss if a colored man can be President in USA or not.

What is good is that there will be more active people this year. Simple people understood that by doing nothing they will always be loosers so there will be highter percentage of voters this year.

Kindly regards,
Georgios

Hello Patricia!

Nice to have see you in Philoxenia. I have been of for many reasons and personal problems. For the moment those problems are under control giving me the opportunity to be more active.

From earlier discussions I know that you will never let them control you and you do the best to tell them that you are there fighting for your rights.

Greetings to family
Georgios

Hello Andrew, Eugene

Hehehe! Both of you have nice Hellenic (Greek) names.

Yes, people expect something new to happen. Of course all those who support Obama say he is the new breath for USA. He gave some new aspects on what he will do if he wins, but that is not enough. Time is running and whole world changes radically fast.

I agree with Andrew that both parties gave what they had to give.

As for my country in relation to USA only Obama gave us some hope for the Cyprus affair (Nothern Part Occupied by Turkey) and the Macedonia question.
The Greek Lobby works fo Obama.

Lately, in the foreign affairs, USA lost many battles in the eyes of the global problematics. Peopel outsied USA don't trusty USA anymore. Many blame George Bush for that, acting only for his own interests and not for the American people.

Regards,
Georgios

Bonjour Bruxelles -Hello Robert,

I will start from the end of your reply. What we have in USA and the Western World was never democracy but indirect democracy. People believe this is democracy but you know it one thing to say "A" and mean "A" and another thing to vote "A" and get as result "B". Representative democracy gives many hopes before the elections but afterwards all those who gave all those promises have to go under the umbrella and restrictions that others above them decide. There is no direct democracy.

The whole system is built up in that way that two big parties in exchange rule a country for four or eight years. Everywhere we see same problems, conservatives (republicans) against (social-)democrats.

Today we need a global ruler, a person like Gandhi to run a peaceful and harmonic world without wars and more human and social care. A leader that cares and works for tomorrow based on peoples will and desire and not after what the multi-national concerns forces them to do. People are starving in many countries even in the richest and there is nobody able to react.

Georgios
