	Alabama Family’s Premiums Skyrocketing By Nearly 300% Due To Obamacare BY: Washington Free Beacon Staff October 9, 2013 11:03 am President Obama ran both of his campaigns on the premise that he would create a universal, affordable health care plan, replete with options. He followed through on one part of that promise: Obamacare was implemented last week, but it is neither affordable nor teeming with options for consumers, according to WAFF-AL. Father of six and small business owner, Jeremy Nichols, is experiencing the ill effects of Obamacare firsthand. He recently received an ominous letter from BlueCross BlueShield telling him that his current insurance plan will be cancelled and suggested another one at a much higher rate. The insurance magnate will increase Nichols’ rate from $463 to $1,012.47, a nearly 300 percent increase, for the exact amount of coverage. Of the increase, Nichols said, “I didn’t know what to think, it’s quite a bit.” Terry Kellogg, President and CEO of BlueCross BlueShield of Alabama offered an explanation for the letter and sudden astronomical rate increase of Nichols’, and surely others’ insurance plans: “The vast majority of our individual products are non –ACA compliant.” He advised consumers to “shop around for the best rate.” This is hardly consolation though, says Nichols, who remains disappointed, citing the lack of insurance options available. United Healthcare will not participate in Obamacare in Alabama, leaving consumers to choose from the only other two options currently available: BlueCross BlueShield or Humana. Consumers who elect not to buy from those insurance vendors face a fee: $95 a person or 1 percent of their salary, whichever is higher. The penalty will increase each year and will approach the $700 mark per person by 2016. They will also be forced to pay full price at the doctor. As a father of six, Nichols understands the importance of having insurance and says that the ACA is anything but affordable. “For most people with large families, it’s going to be a very hard thing for them to afford,” he said. 	So those state that let the FEDS set up their exchanges screwed their constituents out of federal subsidies intended to offset the costs for qualifying individuals. Way to go folks, I think. "Why didn't anyone else think of it?" Morris wrote in The Hill. "Unlike the suit brought by 26 state attorney generals, this suit does not make a constitutional objection to the Affordable Care Act. Instead, it uses the language of the law to challenge the elaborate system of subsidies, tax credits, and individual or employer mandates and fines the act has spawned." The suit, filed by Oklahoma's Republican Attorney General Scott Pruitt, was published in the Case Western Reserve School of Law Journal. The article contends that the wording of the Affordable Care Act allows a subsidy for health insurance only for those who got their coverage through state exchanges rather than the federal exchange. "The IRS has ruled that the language of the statute should be 'interpreted' to extend the subsidies to those enrolled in state or federal exchanges, but that's not what the law says," Morris explained, adding, "Section 1041 of the act, according to their article, 'authorizes premium-assistance tax credits and makes them available only through state-run exchanges.'" It also says tax credits can be given only if the taxpayer has a plan that was enrolled in through an exchange established by the state under section 1311 of the Affordable Care Act. Jonathan H. Adler and Michael F. Cannon, who did the research, "argue that 'by its express terms, this provision only applies to exchanges 'established by a state' and 'established…under Section 1311,'" Morris pointed out. Morris argued that the IRS and supporters of Obamacare try to "stretch the language to imply a mandate to cover those in federal exchanges." He quoted IRS director Douglas Shulmann's reply to a letter from GOP Congressmen about the issue, in which Shulmann said, "The statute includes language that indicates that individuals are eligible for tax credits whether they are enrolled through a state-based exchange or a federally-facilitated exchange." "Unfortunately for President Obama, the statue implies no such thing," said Morris. "It is not only silent on any subsidies for federal exchange, it is clear that the subsidies were intended to encourage states to set up exchanges." A federal judge seemed to agree when he allowed Pruitt's lawsuit to proceed in August, ruling against the Obama administration. "The Oklahoma suit has survived a motion to dismiss and its standing to bring the suit has been affirmed by the District Court," Morris stated. Seeing that California is one of the Biggest Welfare recipients and on one of the 16 states to be “shutdown” by the government, is this a coincidence or a fact of things to come if we don’t go to the negotiation table and fix this madness before October 17th? China stunned the news media on Monday. Of course with the government shutdowns and War on Veterans little or no press in the United States covered it. That didn’t stop the world media from grabbing the story. “The Independent” of the UK, rt.com from Russia, the BBC, and others recorded the message from China’s leader to the President of the United States. The Chinese Vice Foreign Minister, Zhu Guangyao, was actually in Washington DC yesterday, October 7, 2012. This is what he had to say. This is the United States’ responsibility,” he added.- The UK Independent We discussed that the United States President is using the “government shutdown” to close private businesses and kick people off Federal Lands like Lake Meed, where he threw an elderly couple out of their home and onto the streets using “Government Shutdown” as an excuse to impose Eminent Domain. While the 14th Amendment to the constitution forces the government to pay just compensation for such acts, if it is a house boat on a lake, the government doesn’t have to pay for the land, they OWN it. It is no secret that China has an overpopulation and a shortage of food and land. We have farm subsidies, disaster relief from the drought and flood of 2011 and 2012, disastrous crop yields, cities going bankrupt, and other things paid out by FEMA over the last several years. 	THURSDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2013 Obama Orders National Guard ~> Shutdown 495 DC Beltway ~> Prevent Truckers Entry ~> Full Report If it was anyone other than Obama as POTUS, we'd never consider this possible. Problem is, Obama is POTUS. Sources within the Department of Transportation have revealed that their plan to use National Guard resources to close federally funded Interstate Route 495, circling the nation’s capital, have been approved by unknown White House officials and will be implemented on Friday morning, October 11, in order to thwart the three day Trucker slowdown announced on the Capitol Beltway starting that date, using the federal government shutdown as justification. The National Guard resources to be used to thwart the truckers will include rifle toting National Guardsmen called up from units that will be coming in from Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia. They will use Guardsmen on foot and using trucks, jeeps and armored vehicles, which will be stationed at all entrance ramps to the Beltway to block incoming traffic starting early Friday morning. Calls to both the White House and the Department of Transportation to confirm this story were not answered at press time. Unless an announcement is made in advance, it appears the first notice of this new White House plan to punish House GOP members who have cited their Constitutional authority to approve – or not approve – all spending proposed by the White House and their Democratic allies in the Senate, will be early Friday morning. Our DOT sources point to their Department’s website as justification for the paucity of information and our inability to confirm this story in advance, where they state, “during the government shutdown, some online content may not be updated on a regular basis…” These sources at the Department of Transportation have advised off the record that the DOT proposal included the confident belief that the Capitol Beltway shutdown will successfully achieve the twin goals of thrwarting the trucker protest scheduled for a three day period starting on Friday, as well as deal another punishing blow to what they call “the crazy wing of the GOP” which refuses to capitulate to their demands to approve a budget that includes Obamacare funding.
