I don't know if most European countries are aware that it takes more than 6 hours to drive across the state of Pennsylvania, the people in the cities of Philadelphia and Pittsburgh have different accents. . It takes several hours to drive north or south thru Florida. Detroit is almost 3 hours away from where I live in west Michigan. San Francisco is far north of Los Angeles and has totally different weather.
The USA has 10 times the population of Canada.
The country of France is the size of the STATE of Texas.
Our smallest state, Rhode Island, has 1 million residents, most of them jammed into one area.
The little "state" of Delaware is viewed as a suburb of Philly, by Philadelphians.
Some larger cities have sprawled into suburbs in other states, such as Gary, Indiana is a suburb of Chicago, Illinois, and that suburbia also spreads to Benton Harbor, Michigan.
Our country is 3,000 miles wide. We're ALL proud to be Americans!
Some cities within the same states are totally different, while cities in nearby states are more similar. Hard to explain to Europeans, who's countries each have individual languages.
When Obama went to Europe and said what they wanted to hear, our country with all the 50 states and 1,000's of cities and 100,000,000's of people were not all happy with what he said. All of us with our same language in many different accents understood him perfectly, he wanted to impress Europe. Well, Europeans are not voting in our election. What was his point?
