Hello all,

Just an update on how I'm doing and a copy of an email I got.

I seem to be doing good, I've slid back a few times and find myself feeling bad, but then I get up, dust myself off and start where I left off and then I feel much better. I knew It wasn't going to be easy, I just keep fighting the hard fight knowing that It will get easier as I keep at it.

I got this email that really puts things into perspective. Here is a copy:

Dear Philip,

Are you sitting down? Good.

Let's go.

Let me share with you an 'attachment' that was robbing me
of the moment, robbing me of happiness, and robbing me of
self worth.

Follow me here.

I used to always think I had to 'do something' in order to
'be someone'.

Let me say that again.

I used to always think I had to 'do something' in order to
'be someone'.

I used to think the value of who I was, was solely in me
accomplishing something.

If I didn't 'have' something or 'do' something, than I
couldn't 'be' anything.

Philip, have you ever been there before?
Maybe now?

Let's keep going.

Let me share with you an 'ugly attachment' that tied me up
for years and stole my self esteem and self worth.

***I used to think my self worth and SELF esteem were tied
to how much money I made.

Let me repeat.

***I used to think my self worth and SELF esteem were tied
to how much money I made.

So if I did well, I was awesome. And if I didn't I was a
fool.

I later learned this is a one way ticket to unhappiness and
never feeling truly fulfilled.

I thought 'who I was' was in how much money I made or the
applause from others at that moment.

What a lie we've been taught. What a lie our culture has
ingrained in many.

You are not the money you've made or haven't made yet.
You're not.

Your SELF is the most important part of you.

If you feel good about yourSELF, you soar.

If you don't, you struggle.

Have you bought into the lie that attaches your self worth
with your income?

You are not your weekly check.

You are a GIFT to this world.

You're a PRESENT for a certain population or group of
people. (read again)

WHO you are is much bigger than your monthly salary or
latest commission check.

You can feel good about your SELF whether you're making
millions or barely getting by (you'll turn things around).

What happens is most people's self worth is too attached
to their income and then when their income is down they
beat up their SELF.

Their SELF gets hit. They stop loving their SELF.

They start disrespecting their SELF through negative self
talk.

They then go to other's for approval or acceptance because
they've lost themSELVES.

Your SELF is the 'I AM' part of you. The core of who you
are and where your power rests.

You need to protect, preserve, and expand yourSELF.

"Mike, how?"

You need to be 'power speaking' into yourself daily.

"I AM prosperous. I love myself. I AM talented. I AM a
great person. People are drawn to me. Money loves me and
enters my life in easily and effortlessly."

If you've beaten up your SELF through your years and maybe
even 'lost it', start power speaking INTO yourself all day,
every day.

"I AM powerful. I AM strong. I AM dynamic. I care about
myself. I respect myself. I AM focused and I know what I
want in every situation. I AM a winner and I was born to
lead."

"I have a right to exist. This is MY life. I will succeed.
I will win. I will set goals and consistently reach them."

"I AM whole, perfect, strong, loving, harmonious, and
happy."

"I deserve to be happy. I deserve to smile more. I will
enjoy this moment and my life right now."

"I AM assertive in every situation. I know what I want and
I get it."

Stop being so hard on yourself. Stop thinking 'you' are
your income.

Philip, you're much more than that. Much.

You were born for greatness Philip.

Don't rush and act from fear. You're going to reach all
your income goals Philip.  You are.

Work on your SELF. Speak love into your SELF.

If no one in your life has spoken love and encouragement
into your SELF in the past, nows the time for you to start.

The fastest way to build your SELF and your belief is to
start 'power speaking' into your spouse, your family,
friends and clients.

Whatever you want for yourself, help other's get it first.
(<<<try this.)

Don't be afraid to assert the 'I'. You're stronger than you
know.

There's thousands of my readers reading this at this very
second. Let's all believe in each other. Believe in someone
else and your belief soars.

You're not alone Philip. There's thousands
of like minded people cheering you on this very second.

Philip, go, Philip, go, Philip, go!

Love Ya! You're The Best!

Your Coach,

Michael

P.S. If you're reading this right now, hit forward and send
this to 5 people who need to read it. Do it now and because
you've helped others, others will soon enter your life to
help you.

It's law. Work the principle.

20+ hours of fr.ee encouragement sit in the media center.
Enjoy.

It came from one of my money coaches, but can be applied to life in general. Just substitute "money" for any thing.

Have a great day. Philip Thompson http://sdsgifts.com God bless.

Hello Phillip,

Glad to hear that you are doing or seem to be doing good.  Let me know how I can help.

The e-mail is okay, but I don't like the fact that it says to focus just on yourself so much.  I think it is more important to focus on the Lord, have faith and to help others.   True, you should love yourself and the Lord can help you with this.  Focus on God and not so much on what others tell you to do.

You know the saying "Money is the root of all evil"?  I believe that money is not the root of all evil but the love of money is.  If we put too much emphasis on money then it becomes the most important thing in our life and becomes more like a God we worship.  Our Father in heaven is the only God we should have for the Bible tells us we should have no other Gods.  The 1st Commandment says "
Thou shalt have no other gods before me.."   The 2nd one says “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth."

Turn to the Lord and have faith my friend.  He won't disappoint you.  He loves you!

God Bless!
