Something happened to my first attempt at posting.  I was almost finished and everything disappeared.  I could not get it back.  I will try again.

When I "joined a church," and was baptized, I was very religious.  I was working my way to heaven.  Many people I have known who would list Christianity as their religion, are working their way to  heaven.  I had no idea what the Bible says about how to have a relationship with God.  Later, I learned that it states clearly that there is only one way.  James (above) has "hit the nail on the head."

I believe that each person is on a spiritual journey.  (Like a physical journey, you need a map if you want to get to your destination.)  If you are interested, my story is at the following website: www.myspiritualjourney.info

If you go there, be sure to look for what C. S. Lewis said about Jesus.  (If you are not familiar with C. S. Lewis, he is one of the greatest intellectuals of the 20th century.  He was an atheist who became a Christian.)

Christianity to me means freedom and debt at the same time because I can do nothing to save my self from savear punishment to come and I need not worry because Jesus died for me on the cross. Jesus took away what I was deserving of and yet with so great a salvation I can not go back to sin. So I struggel against sin some times winning and some times not.

I'm in debt to Jesus Christ because of the price he paid for my salvation and thus I have great reason to fight against the temtation of sin. I have great reason to listen to my conscience as God reveals to me right and wrong. I'am greatly humbled when I relaize how filthy my righteousness is compared to the magnificent righteousness of Jesus Christ by whose blood I have been saved. Jesus layed his own life down for me and all but sin is what killed Jesus Christ. The murderer of Jesus was sin of which I was greatly a part.

Praise be to God Almighty for His son Jesus Christ.

Being a Christian means thet you have accepted Christ, the Son of God, who was born of a Virgin, lived a perfect life, died on the Cross for my sins and the sins of the whole world, and rose again on the third day, now is in Heaven with God the Father, ands in my Heart as my Lord, Master, Savior, and that in accepting Him, I love Him enough that I want to live my life so it will be pleasing to Him.

Once I have accepted Him, I have Eternal life with Him, and abundant life here and now.
