Phil,

You can dominate my recipe forum all you want! I am enjoying the recipes. I am just getting interested in Middle Eastern food so am learning all I can about their dishes.

The Moroccan Chicken Tagine sounds like anohter winner. I will have to buy the ingredients.

Thank you for the links for the Middle Eastern foods, too.

We just got a new cooking channel on TV and I watched this recipe being made this evening. It is another hummus dish!

Hummus Variation

1 can of chickpeas, drained

plain yogurt or Greek yogurt

juice of a lemon

garlic clove, chopped

a sprinkle of paprika

salt

extra virgin olive oil

Instructions:

Mix all ingredients in a food processor. Top with your favorite ingredients. One possibility is:

finely chopped red pepper

parsley

a sprinkle of sugar

extra virgin olive oil

Mix the above ingredients and place on top of the hummus.

They both sound great and I will have to try after I send my order in.

The coffee sounds good right now, wonder if it would be good cold.

THANKS,

Sara

You are welcome for the recipes, Sara.

I bought the ingredients for the second hummus recipe today and will make it tomorrow. I will let you know how I like it.

All of a sudden I am seeing hummus recipes! Here is another one. You may need to cut down the recipe, as it looks like it will make a large amount.

Hummus

3 cans chickpeas, rinsed and drained

1/2 cup tahini (sesame paste)

8 cloves of minced garlic.

2/3 cup olive oil

1/2 cup lemon juice

salt and pepper to taste

1/2 cup chopped parsley

Combine first 6 ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Place in a bowl and sprinkle with parsley. Serve with crackers, pita bread, or bread product of your choice. You could use it as a dip for vegetables, too.
