The international women's day (on March, 8th) is date which is marked by female groups all over the world. It is marked and in the United Nations Organization, and in many countries this day is a national holiday.
When women, from all continents, quite often divided by national borders or ethnic, language, cultural, economic and political distinctions, gather to note this day, they have an opportunity to recollect tradition which personifies at least nine decades of struggle for equality, validity, the world and development.
The international women's day is a holiday of the ordinary women who have become by creators of history; the roots it leaves in centuries-old struggle of women for participation in a life of a society level with men.
In Ancient Greece Lisistrata for the sake of the termination of war has organized sexual strike against men; during the French Revolution the Parisian women supported " freedom, equality and a brotherhood ", have organized a march to Versailles to demand granting to women of the suffrage.
The idea of carrying out of the International women's day for the first time has arisen in beginning XX century when industrially developed world experienced the period of expansion and shocks, demographic boom and occurrence of radical ideologies.
