Gaby!  LOL LOL LOL  I love Maxine!

Now, let's see..... How do I explain calamundin.  The closest I can come is that it is a citrus fruit and they do not sell it in supermarkets.  To tell you the truth, I have never come across one, although after that recipe, if the tree is not sold in nurseries around here, and it would have to be an organic nursery, I have on my "to do" list to go online and search.

Hope I have helped.  Somewhat anyway.

Hugs,

Luella

Hi Luella,

I had the same question as Gaby. I never heard of calamundin either. Of course, I live in a small mid-western town in the U. S. so we don't get "exotic" foods! Plain old cooking ingredients. :)

I found a pomegranate at one store so bought it. Then when I cut it open I didn't know what to do with it. I didn't know if you were supposed to eat the part with the seeds, or the part around the seeds. I ended up throwing it out for the wild animals. Something ate it. I get deer, squirrels, possoms, raccoons, birds, and one day I saw a fox. Between all that wildlife they eat my leftovers.

I have to agree with you that men are great cooks, I don't know I would say they are better then women, but ............, well we don't want them to get big header, now do we!  lolololol

Hi Donna!  How awesome!  I have a lot of wildlife where I live too.  I am going to start giving them my leftovers also, although I think my dogs might beat them to it.

Although I am not very familiar with calamundin, being I am from the south, I have heard of it.  I think the farther south you go toward the tropics the easier it would be to find.

LOL LOL LOL  I had to laugh at your Pomegranate experience.  If you are not familiar with them they are really hard to figure out.  You eat the seeds.  And Pomegranates are one of the most healthy fruits you can have.  It is a wonderfruit.  Pomegranate juice is also very, very healthy for you.  However.... Make sure and read the label.  If it says, that water is added, or other juices, it is diluted and you do not want it.  If it has a lot of ingredients that you can pronounce, you don't want that either.  You want the label to say..... Pomegranate Juice.

Hugs,

Luella
