Absolutely beautiful, Nick!

Thank you - we could all use a good cry now and then - the good kind, the kind that makes us know our heart is working.

Happy first New Moon of 2008 to you.

Judy

Nick, this is a wonderful poem.  What mystifies me is why is it so similar to the one at this link.  I really wonder now where it did come from??  Anyway, this one has been around for some time.  Thanks for posting this, I like the pictures and the words very much.

Hello Nick, the old man must have been a great poet unknown to the world. The flow of words and the emotions expressed in this beautiful poem is touching to the heart. The poem is truly a reflection of our lives, the excitement of childhood, the thrills of the youth and the misery of the old-age. Thanks for reproducing the poem in this forum.

My Dearest Gaby !

The last time I saw my Opa (Grandfather) he was 86 and had the heart of a 20 year old. I was caught in his web of stories for hours and he was my hero. One day I came home and my father was in the bedroom crying and he never cries, that is the day I found out that he had died and for two days I would not come out of my room. We will at one time or another lose someone we love and it is more likely to happen more often the older we get. Memories will always keep them alive in our hearts !
