WOW - 1953 - I was 8 years old! I played outside until the street lights went on - walked to school w/out incident, etc. Several posts have good thoughts - mine - we've let government take over too much of our personal lives. We have let the ACLU take GOD out of our day to day activities! GOD GONE - discipline gone! Yes, it's up to the parents, but the parents were raised during the "stripping God from society time" and I was one of those that let them do it because of my inactivity/lack of interest/I wasn't informed - whatever at that time. We need to stand up and get our rights back! That includes - the right of every human being - unborn, born, aged, sick, dying - to LIFE, LIBERTY and the PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS! We talked about the "silent majority" not too many years ago. Have we stood up and taken action yet? Carol

My first visit was short because I was in a rush.

Look, Subject: School and Life Scenarios Compare 1953 vs 2007 .... OMG, you are so courageous! This 44 years between ..... they brought changes more dramatically then could be noticed during all 19 centuries before ...  Somehow ... I would have bigger courage to predict all changes in next 44 years, then to look backwards :) ....

I think that EACH EVENT HAS IT`S TIME .... No, I am not a fatalist , even though, having a courage to consider some things as "destiny" ... I may be considered as a fatalist . But, things must be called somehow, or???

My intention was to explain that all things you were speaking off, can be found world wide, and differences from region to region are differences in slang :), or :( ....

Global mind : global consciousness, subconsciousness and unconsciousness ... don`t know for borders or for nostalgia...they work! And something happens, today in America or in Canada ... tomorrow-if not the same evening- in UAR or Serbia .... But I like those changes. We can see so intensive battle between liberated human spirit and old stubborn Judge (works through our habits,customs and hereditary statements) that likes to keep his chair and omnipotence ahead....
