Nick,
AussieKeith is very right about Christmas not being the birthdate of Jesus. What he didn't ad is that because of its pagan roots and all the lies associated with it, another example of which is that the "Three Wise Men" (really oriental pagan-god worshipping astrologers, both practices of which God condemns) were at Jesus' birth. Read Matt. 2:11 to discover the TRUTH. Jesus was a small child living in a house when these astrologers visited him. Also, the Bible mentions no one but these three seeing the star that everyone puts in their manger scenes along with the "Three Wise Men." All these lies and the pagan traditions of the tree and lights and everything actually dishonor our savior. So, true Christians should not and will not be a part of Satan's world that does this dishonoring.
Also, you probably don't know it, but the part about the government stopping christianity is absolutely going to happen as predicted in the Bible. It will happen suddenly and without warning, and will mark the start of the Great Tribulation. The Bible says God will put it in their minds to do this. At that point, it is too late for anyone not serving God to be saved from destruction in Armageddon. It could happen at any time, folks!
