Hello Carla,

I applaud you for allowing those children to exercise their right to pray.

Unfortunately, it looks like it is too late to do much to change the situation.

Here is a story sent to me..........

 Subject: Dog in Classroom

A dog had followed his owner to school.

His owner was a fourth grader at a public elementary school.

However,  when the bell rang, the dog waddled inside the building and made it all the way to the child's classroom before a teacher noticed him and shoo'ed him outside, closing the door behind him.

The dog sat down, whimpered and stared at the closed doors.

Then God appeared beside the dog, patted his head, and said.............

"Don't feel bad fella'.... they won't let ME in either."

Hi Carla, Thank you for taking a stand, even though you consider it a passive one. It is our question my friends and I continue to ask on a daily basis and we see our most basic freedoms and preferences stripped away. When we we stop edging God out? What if he did the same to us? It doesn't matter wether we believe in him or not, or by whatever name we call him. I am glad to hear that there are children who want to pray. That means it is still not too late and hopeful there are more people like you who will allo them to do so. Merry Christmas, Carla! God Bless you. Yvonne

Dear Carla,

I am glad to know their are still public school teachers who are willing to go against the flow.  Our constitution gave us freedom of religion but this is slowly or not so slowly being taken away from us.

We do need to pray for our nation and when we vote look at the candidates and try to find those who most nearly would look to God for guidance and direction in their lives.

I am thankful we live in South Carolina because we do have some good leadership.

God bless you for your efforts and I know HE will.

Sincerely,

Gladys Beaty

Thank you for bringing this subject up. I don't think that they should ban prayer in school or anywhere for that matter. It should be a matter of choice. I am having a difficult time at my place of employment because we cannot have a Christmas party this year as one of the employees is Jehovah's Witness. Maybe I am over reacting but I feel that takes all the FUN out of the holidays for me. Leslie
