Re: Information YOU Should KNOW before Promoting Any Business in Pre-Launch

Hey Jim,

Thanks for the links. I haven't got much time for playing games but it's good to know there are some places to go and play for free.

Thanks again and Happy Holidays,

Peter

Point 1---parnoid in that if you suggest a business but not mention it by name, we do have people who litteraly scream that you are attacking their business.  Therefore, I named it.

Point 2---yes people will join no matter what the cost.  If it cost $200 plus $65 licence fee then one needs to generate enough cash flow to make a profit.  What if I join a program for free and make .80 per recruit.  What have I made?  Wow 1,025 people and I have a grand a month.  We have people joining uvme who don't see that there is a cost as you point out.  If they knew then they would get busy and build a business to make sure they get back the $265 plus a handsome profit.

My welcome letter to uvme says:  go to the back office and do your research.  Second I ask what they intend to do with it---game player or business  Next, I give them skype and yahoo where we can talk.  Attending conferences is where one learns about it as a business. All this puts responsibility on the new person.  Do they follow up?  You take a  guess.

Cost?  Just as Marilyn says, commitment, belief, enthusiasm,  $$$'s if so desired.

Point 3:  Some of the games you mentioned are for free and some  are at a cost.  I found one last night that had free, $10 or $20. uvme has free, $1, and up games. People choose their game sites according to cost and quality of games.  That is why we are testing.  The company is taking our suggestions to make sure it is quality.

Point 4: My motive is belief in this 5 year company who has invested a lot of money to develope this site.  I also believe in my downline who are working.  We have fun but we take this business serious. I would never prod someone to invest their $265 if they didn't promote, build, or make their intentions to make money known by action.  Hopefully we never hear of anyone prodding someone to do that.  They can be players if they so choose.

Limited potential:  Have you seen the numbers at King.com and Pogo.com. on line 24/7. No reason we can't have a little of that business!  We have over 200,000 registered (interested) persons before we are open for business.

Jim, thanks for the open forum going on here.  I think many do think the pink fairy will just drop success in their laps and downline will fall from the sky.  Anyone willing to pay the price will have a business to be proud of.

Hello Marilyn,

Your reply is appreciated and noted.  Of all the information, that has been shared by others, this is th the most informative without having to give up my personal information to receive it.  Thank you.

Many programs offer the self funding feature and is a good business practice to do so.  Now all that is needed is to find those folks willing to make such an investment with you at launch.  Which in itself is another challenge.

Yes, folks should do their own due diligence, unfortunately we all know that is not the case.  On the front end there is very little information and if a visitor does make it to the backend.  They tend to go directly to their own promotional link so as to get the word out first.  As they fear someone else will get to their people first.  Usually passing over what the investment and the potential payoff is.

Owning your own game platform is really intriguing and definitely has a potential to become profitable.  Competing with the Big Boys in this world will be another thing.  Will the advertisers com?  Yet to be proven, unless they can gain product placement in the games people are playing.  Which means major development costs.

Will people be willing to pay to play games online?

Hmmm, maybe if you have a good role playing game that involves killing as many goons as possible.  I know I pay for my son's access to WOW.  But will they be willing to pay to play checkers, chess, spades, hearts or backgammon?  I doubt it.  Others already have that crowd pretty much covered with their proven business models.  The advertisers are already there.

I am not saying there is not a market, but it is going to be a tough niche to carve a profit in for the typical opportunity seeker.  The numbers validate this very well.  The 80/20 rule doesn't apply in this realm.  It is more like a 98/02 rule.

Thanks for your post Marilyn.
