People have to want to change. Unless they are willing to explore the real issues that causing the problems they will continue to exhib the same behavior. Therapy helps us to understand why and gives us a supportive environment to do it in.
We also have to want to change or in time we go back to old behaviors because they are confortable and familiar. That is why once you change for the better then you have to get away from the environment that helps feed into the negativity, then continue to take classes or coaching to help reinforce the strides you have made.
That is why I teach classes and coach clients on how to set goals for themselves and think more positively aqbout themselves. It's all in the education and change in the attitude you have about yourself.
