Hi Nick, I made a visit and left a comment. I am not envious of the Saudi Prince, as in my mind he has just created more to add stress to his life. More people will be needed to maintain his "TOY" and then there is always the fear of who might abuse his friendship just to take from him. I enjoy attaining small gains and then enjoying the fruits of the labor. Of course sharing those gains is the highlight of attaining more. Thanks for sharing amd reminding me that I never want to be greedy.

Hey Nick,

I read the story!  My words were and are "I am blessed and highly favored".

I like the way you correlated abundance and scarcity.  They represent the same thing, but of different views of an optimist and pessimist.  Because a person cannot see the abundance does not mean there is only scarcity.

As a little boy, a thought came to me one day sitting under a huge tree.  Where did that tree come from?  Yes, I know a seed, but here is this huge tree that if cut down would take several semi tractor trailer trucks to haul it off.  That is a lot of "stuff".  Where did all the "stuff" come from to make that tree?   Aha!  From nothing maybe?  I've never been able to have anyone answer it without further miraculous questions popping up.  I've seen huge trees growing in the crack of a solid rock mountain.  No soil!

Ah the things we humans just have to know the exact details in order to believe.

Back to abundance.  I believe that one cannot help another until they have something to give.  I have told you my quest in life before:  To help the world become happier, healthier, wealthier and wiser.  It will take many aspects of richness to succeed.  One is acceptance of abundance.  Even if a glass were to be half empty, there is still enough water to drink.  :)

Thanks Nick!  I always have wonderful and musing sessions after reading your articles.

Joe

PS:  I personally believe that if we all sought to have more in order to give more, there would be no poverty in this world, nor would there be pollution, nor would there be wars.
