I am sorry to hear about your fathers illness and the surgery.  I went through this with my father and it was rough to say the least.  My family and I, asked God for his help and held to his unchanging hand.  During the surgery when you think you are alone, I will be praying for you and your dad.  and more importantly God will be there carrying you through it.
