Hello fellow Mother Earth gardeners,

I've been working in the garden today, in the lovely sunshine. Pansies are my favourite flower at this time of the year and I've been doing my window boxes and putting pots of pansies in various places in the garden.

Gerri, I can now say that the colours have changed to glorious splendour.

When I drive along the country roads (which I have to do to get anywhere) I am awestruck at natures wonderful paint palette.

I've been neglecting this garden here, but time has been an issue with me lately.

I've also been doing some travelling. Just got back from Ireland. The weather was pants most of the time but I loved Ireland and plan to return.

Angel cuddles,

Sarah

ps I hope to soon have the time to upload some photos from London and Bunratty to share with you.

I'm walking up this golden path to a better future. You too?

I love this time of year in England.

When the sun shines the light is wonderful.

The autumn colours are slow to reach their best this year but the sycamores are particularly good.

The biggest disappointment are the Horse Chestnuts. We have (like dutch elm disease before) a new disease on the block. We have a leaf-miner attack and a form of canker on most trees which have made very disfigured trees and they look very sad. I do hope we don't loose them like we did the Elms.

The British countryside is not the same without the elms.

Oh well, must go and polish the armour and feed the steed.

Sir Roger

My dear Sir Roger,

I can just imagine you riding your noble steed through the woods with the sunlight showing the wonderful colours and making your armour glow!!! LOL

Yes, I find it sad when trees are not at their best. They recently cut some trees down that were lining the road in Belpech. It pains me to see those hundreds of years disappearing under the tree cutters "sword".

On to brighter tales, the oak tree that I planted in my Daddy's name, in my garden has grown a lot this year. It looks lovely with the autumn sun shining on it.

Sarah
