As most at ALP are aware, I am a Team Captain and Training Walk Leader for the Breast Cancer 3Day, which is a 60 mile walk over the span of 3 days, benefiting Susan G Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Breast Cancer Trust.
Each year over 40,000 women die in the USA alone from this disease, while many others battle it. ONE in every EIGHT women will be diagnosed in her lifetime. Those statistics need to change!
My walk & crew team is called the 3Day Dancers, because we will dance for joy when the cure is found!
On our team website, www.3daydancers.com , you will find breast cancer info, a page about our team members, links to our pink ribbon store, a photo gallery, and our walking placard. The walking placard contains the names of survivors and of those who have lost their battle with this disease.
I envision a day when the diagnosis of breast cancer is met with a cure.... when the need for chemo, radiation, surgery, reconstruction.... all disappear!

As the team & I leave for the 2007 Tampa Bay 3Day on October 18th, where we will walk 60 miles from 10/19-10/21, we are already working on the 2008 walks.... we take it step-by-step towards a cure....
Come... make a difference... for the grandmothers, mothers, sisters, aunts, wives, daughters, for that special woman in your life.....
