James,
I just wanted to add a comment here for Geketa's sake from this quote you posted:
Galatians 6:7 "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." Below is the story of what happened to those who mocked God:
She then went on to point out several people who "mocked" God and then met untimely deaths shortly thereafter. Well, the truth is, God had absolutely nothing to do with their deaths. The Bible says in this regard:
James 1:13, "When under trial, let no one say: "I am being tried by God." For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone."
Satan is the source of all evil. So, you see, God is not responsible for anyone's untimely death. That is another one of christendom's false teachings, along with sayings like, "God took your loved one because he needed another angel in heaven." It is lies like this that not long ago caused a little 8 year old girl to walk out in front of a speeding train and kill herself, because her priest had told her God had taken her mother to heaven, and she wanted to join her. How sad, and how untrue. That little girl and her mother are not in heaven, but are simply asleep in the grave, awaiting Jesus' promised resurrection back to a paradise earth. This is what the Bible REALLY teaches, and is easily proven through scriptures. And God will hold these false teachers accountable for misleading their flocks, as they of all people should know the truth.
It's late, so I'll close with the hope that all will come to know what God's will is for them, and that's found at 1,2,3,4, that is, easy to remember, 1 Tim. 2:3&4, which says, "This is fine and acceptable in the sight of our Savior, God, whose will is that all sorts of men should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth." The emphasis there being on the word accurate!
