WHEN WILL BE JESUS' SECOND COMING?
9/6/2007 1:57:01 PM

Jesus said, "NO ONE KNOWS about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but ONLY the Father." (Matthew 24:36).   Jesus said, "Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when THAT TIME WILL COME." (Mark 13:33).   Jesus said, "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour." (Matthew 25:13).   Jesus said, "YOU ALSO MUST BE READY, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect Him." (Luke 12:40).   Jesus said, "It will be good for those servants whose master finds them ready, even if He comes in the second or third watch of the night." (Luke 12:38).   They (the Scoffers) will say, "Where is this 'coming' He HE WILL APPEAR A SECOND TIME, not to bear sin but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him. (Hebrews 9:28).promised? Even since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation." (2 Peter 3:4).   For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and WILL NOT PROVE FALSE.   Though it linger, wait for it; IT WILL CERTAINLY COME....(Habakkuk 2:3).   Jesus said, "I will come back and take YOU to be with Me that YOU also may be where I am." (John 14:3).   Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. (Psalm 27:14).     HE WILL APPEAR  A SECOND TIME, not to bear sin but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him. (Hebrews 9:28).   AS SURELY AS THE SUN RISES, HE WILL APPEAR;...(Hosea 6:3).   JESUS SAID, "BEHOLD I AM COMING SOON!...."(Revelation 22:7,NIV).

Hi Marisol,

I was impressed by the time you took to cite so many Bible texts about the second coming of Christ.  I too am an avid Bible student and love the Almighty God, His Son and the Holy Bible deeply.

Since as the Scriptures you cited show we have to be alert and prepare ourselves to be ready for that second coming, I wanted to talk about one of the reasons Jesus divested his spiritual being and was sent to the earth as a human by  his Father, the Almighty GOD.

Jesus often spoke of the unique importace of TRUTH, (religious truth primarily of course).

1.  John 18:37:  Jesus says one of the reasons he was born as a human was to be enabled to personally bear witness to humans about  the TRUTH.  Those who love truth  would "hear" or recognize the sound of the TRUTH and follow him.

2.  John 14:6:  Again, Jesus teaches that by walking in the way of his footsteps, one could learn the TRUTH and gain eternal life.

3.  John 8:31,32,38, 40:  'If you accept my words and my teachings, which I received from my Father, you will be accepting the truth and in turn the TRUTH  will free you from many beliefs and customs that did not originate from the only true GOD.

4.  John 4:24:  Jesus says that the FATHER  'is looking for' those who love the TRUTH and who want to worship HIM in spirit and with TRUTH.

5.  John 17:17:  There was Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, paganism, etc. etc. when GOD sent Jesus to earth. But Jesus taught the one TRUTH from the one Almighty God .  He  prayed to the Almighty GOD to 'sanctify, to set apart'  his followers by means of the TRUTH which would 'stand out' amongst the maze of religious teachings.

I welcome any comments about the above!

What embodies the TRUTH that Jesus represented and taught and lived?  What are its components?  I'd like to begin to discuss that in my next post!

ONE THING GOD CANNOT DO
9/17/2007 10:02:59 AM
The Bible says, "... God, cannot lie,...." (Titus 1:2). ...it is impossible for God to lie,....(Hebrews 6:18). Jesus confirmed that God's word is truth. Jesus said "...your word is truth." (John 17:17,NIV). Submitted by, Marisol Sosa,

Jesus can come at any time.  The only question is, Are you ready? (this applies to everyone)

Are you ready for Judgement Day?

Are you ready to account for your wrongs and sins?

Have you asked for forgiveness of your sins?

Have you lived your life as a Christian?

As the saying, "What would Jesus do?" Have you lived your life in kindness, friendliness, love, sharing, caring, and forgiving?

If you haven't, maybe now is the time to start.  Ask God for forgiveness.

Also a good idea to ask the people that you have committed wrong against, for forgiveness.

Hello all,

An interesting question,  when will the second coming be. I can just hope I am ready.

I just got baptised on Sept 23. I am 47 years old. I spent almost 30 years of my life rejecting Jesus and the church. Not ignoring, but actively rejecting it. I have repented and asked forgiveness(been forgiven in my mind). I am trying to start my new life in Christ. I keep thinking back to things I have done and have to keep reminding myself that my life started anew on the 23rd.

I am ready for the second coming, I hope (doubts still linger). I know I have a long struggle ahead staying on the right path, but I will struggle and beat the devil and give up my old bad habits and concentrate only on the good! It Is hard and I have already had a few setbacks but I am trying to keep my mind on the the right path.

Your prayers would be appreciated right now.

Thank you for starting this topic, It really caught my eye.

Have a great day. Philip Thompson http://sdsgifts.com God bless.
